We love English here at Weddington Primary School and we strive to instil our pupils with a love for language, reading and writing. Consequently, our aim is to deliver a high-quality English education which inspires all pupils to become confident members of society, allowing them to communicate their ideas both formally and informally throughout life. We strongly believe that the teaching of high-quality language, along with modelled writing, will enable our children to speak and write fluently. We believe that through reading a variety of texts children will have the opportunity to develop emotionally, socially and culturally.
