Amanda Smith

Amanda joined our firm in 1990 and helped build our Personal Injury Unit to the now thriving department it has become. Amanda has successfully pursued personal injury claims and obtained compensation whilst building an excellent rapport with her Clients who regularly recommend Amanda's services to others. Amanda is an Associate Litigation Executive within our firm and her areas of expertise include claims in Personal Injury arising from;-

Ben Neal

Ben qualified as a Solicitor in 2010 and originally trained at a local law firm where he successfully made partner at the age of 28. Ben has continued to work within the local area for over 13 years and in doing so he has gained extensive knowledge of the local area and the peculiarities to this area in property transactions. In his earlier years, Ben concentrated on a broad spectrum of legal areas to include, Residential, Matrimonial and Estate planning. This has provided him with the foundations of being able to apply that knowledge into most legal scenarios, thus being able to look at matters as a whole and advising his Clients accordingly. Having qualified and subsequently been involved primarily in Residential Property matters he has moved more into the realms of Commercial Property and Business Sales and Acquisitions as well as Residential Developments and Schemes within the last 9-10 years.

Cameron Hill

Cameron joined the firm in 2015, originally in the role of Receptionist. Since then he has worked within various roles throughout different departments of Hodgkinsons including our Industrial Disease Department and Commercial and Residential Property Department. Cameron now works in our Residential Conveyancing Department assisting Clients with purchases, sales, re-mortgages, transfers of equity and deeds of gift matters. Cameron began his career in our Residential Property Department by assisting various fee earners with their files and communicating with their Clients regarding either their sale or purchase of a Residential Property. In order to progress his career further, Cameron completed and passed a CLT course within 8 months in 2019 which has provided him with the qualifications to become a qualified Paralegal in Residential Conveyancing. As a result of this, Cameron has now transitioned in his role to become a Fee Earner, handling his own full caseload. Cameron now specialises in: Residential Purchases Residential Sales Re-mortgages Transfers of Equity Deeds of Gift

Che Shing Li - Managing Director

Che is the Managing Director of the Company. He is a qualified Solicitor with over 16 years experience in the field of dispute resolution. Che also has experience handling contentious probate matters for both Claimants and Defendants. Che's overriding objective is to develop the business and its relationship with Clients and business associates. The primary focus is on the Client and to help them achieve the outcome they desire, quickly and effectively. It is about achieving goals and delivering excellence at every stage. A major part of Che's time is overseeing individual heads of departments and to offer strategic, procedural and compliance advice so as to deliver effective and Client focused solutions.

Chloe Sullivan

Chloe is an Associate Solicitor within our Company and her area of specialism is in Clinical Negligence. Chloe is also the Head of our Marketing Department which comprises of:- Chloe read law at Buckingham University (L.L.B.Hons) where she then went on to obtain her Masters in Law (L.L.M). She subsequently graduated from the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice where she completed her LPC and then joined our firm in 2011.

Emma Dewey

Emma joined our Residential Property Team in 2023, having over 7 years of experience within the local property market. Emma has exceptional knowledge in property law, which has developed through experience and her commitment to Client transactions. Emma qualified as a Conveyaning Executive in 2016 and now holds her CILEx Level 3.

Gemma Middleton

Gemma, originally from Glasgow, joined Hodgkinsons Solicitors in September 2016. She began her career in Law in a small firm within Glasgow where she worked for four years as a Legal Assistant. After relocating to Skegness, she was hired as a Legal Assistant within the Litigation Department here at Hodgkinsons. Gemma has now worked her way up to become a Paralegal within the Dispute Resolution department, dealing with various types of civil litigation cases. To take the next step in her Law career, Gemma is currently working towards her LLB (Hons) from home in addition to her in-office hours. Jack Leverton

Jack joined Hodgkinsons in August 2022 as an Apprentice. Jack soon found his niche within our thriving, fast paced conveyancing department and upon successful completion of his apprenticeship scheme, Jack was then promoted to Trainee Paralegal in May 2023. Jack is now underway to successfully completing his Central Law Training Paralegal Qualification. Jack is a Trainee Paralegal within our Company and his area of specialism is in Residential Conveyancing.

Kira Young

Originally from Skegness, Kira joined Hodgkinsons in May 2017 as an Apprentice through the Apprenticeship scheme. Upon successful completion of her apprenticeship scheme, Kira then began her legal career as a Legal secretary before being promoted to a Personal Assistant to various Fee Earners in a number of departments within the Company. Between 2020 and 2023 Kira found her niche within our Wills and Probate Department where she is now underway to successfully completing her Central Law Training Paralegal Qualification. Kira is a Trainee Paralegal within our Company and her area of specialism is in Wills & Probate.

Lisa Wilkinson

Lisa returned to live in England in 1999, after living in South Africa for 27 years, and joined our firm in 2001. Lisa has in excess of 20 years' of experience in dealing with both straight forward and complicated personal injury claims.

Maria Parker

Maria is an experienced Matrimonial and Family Law Executive who joined our firm in 1984 and has extensive knowledge in dealing with all aspects of dispute resolution which includes Divorce, Financial matters, Injunctions, Residence and Contact Orders. Maria has worked at Hodgkinsons for some 36 years and has gained a great deal of knowledge in relation to family matters in particular. Marie Leary

In 2001, Marie was admitted as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executive and has over 25 years' experience in the field of Employment Law. Marie joined Hodgkinsons Solicitors in 2017 as the Company's HR Manager. Through her own initiative, Marie has integrated herself into all aspects of the business, from practice management to dealing with compliance issues. In previous years Marie has worked closely with the Managing Director, assisting with legal compliance, data protection and client care. Having gained exceptional knowledge of this remit, in 2019 Marie was appointed as the Data Protection Officer (DPO), Deputy Senior Reporting Officer (SRO) and the Manager of client complaints. Over the past years Marie has helped to shape the culture of Hodgkinsons through practice, procedures and Company policies. To aid Hodgkinsons' Company culture, Marie has been responsible for setting up in-house departments including a Social Committee, Funding Group and a Health and Safety Team. Marie's main aim is to work with the Company in continuing to provide an employee-oriented and high-performance culture which emphasises quality and standards. To acknowledge Marie's consistent efforts and enthusiasm, in August 2019, Hodgkinsons' Directors Steve Hill, Senior Director, Che Shing Li, Managing Director, and Robert Foster, Director, invited Marie to become the Assistant Director of the Company, to which she accepted. Marie is the Company's first female Assistant Director since Hodgkinsons Solicitors was established in 1981. Naomi Banham

Naomi joined our Property Team in 2023, having impressively worked in the legal sector for almost 40 years. Naomi graduated from Leeds University in 1981 with a degree in Law and went on to work for several law firms before qualifying as a Licensed Conveyancer and setting up her own practice in 1995 where she successfully ran her conveyancing practice from both Northamptonshire and later on North Norfolk. In 2007 Naomi chose to divert her career path by becoming a locum licensed conveyancer and through this, has experienced working in firms of various sizes whilst both supervising and training other conveyancers. Naomi has exceptional knowledge in property law, which has developed through years of experience and her commitment to Client transactions, and having lived in Lincolnshire for the last 6 years, also has an extensive understanding of the local property market.

Richard Scott

Richard is an Associate Solicitor with over 25 years' experience of successfully seeking compensation for his Clients. Richard joined Hodgkinsons in 2011. Steve Hill

Steve is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers and has been awarded Senior Litigator accreditation. Steve was admitted as a Solicitor in 1997. He is the Company's Senior Director and the Head of the Personal Injury and Professional Negligence Teams. For over 30 years Steve has specialised in personal injury and professional negligence litigation dealing predominately in claims of a complex and catastrophic nature. Steve has expertise of the full spectrum of injury litigation with particular emphasis in clinical negligence claims and accidents involving life changing injuries including traumatic brain injury, fatal injury, amputations, spinal fractures and serious injuries to children. His attention to detail, excellent client care skills and ability to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of a case enable him to deal effectively with complex claims. In addition to his injury practice, Steve also has extensive experience dealing with professional negligence claims against Accountants, Solicitors, Health Professionals, Surveyors and Architects.

Travan Chandler

Travan, originally from South Africa, joined Hodgkinsons Solicitors through an Apprenticeship scheme in September 2012. After completion of the Apprenticeship, Travan was retained as a permanent member of staff and found her niche in the Wills and Probate Department. Travan now specialises in: The preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. Assisting with Estate Administration and Probate.

Verity Jones

Verity studied Law at the University of Lincoln (L.L.B.Hons) which she successfully graduated from with an impressive 2:1. During Verity's second year, she went on to study the Medical Law elective which is where her passion for Medical Law began. Verity is currently studying for her Solicitors Qualifying Examination with the University of Law when hopefully she will become a fully qualified Solicitor by 2026. Verity is a Paralegal within our Company and her area of specialism is in Clinical Negligence.
