Adele Wilson RVN

Adele joined Park Issa (again) in January 2018 after working for the veterinary investigation centre. She began her veterinary nursing training here in June 1999. Adele particularly enjoys working in the in-house lab and meeting all our clients during nurse clinics. She also has a keen interest in training the student nurses. In her spare time Adele enjoys spending time with her family and keeping fit especially running.

Alice Pringle RVN

Alice joined the team at Park Issa in February 2017 after locuming here. She loved the staff and clients so much that she agreed to stay :). She enjoys all aspects of the job but particularly enjoys working with cats and can often be found in the cat kennels playing with our inpatients. In her free time Alice enjoys spending time with her two children, husband, and cat. Family trips out are often enjoyed in their Classic 1974 Mini Cooper S.

Annie Jones Oswestry

Annie works on farm reception two days a week alongside working at home on her family's dairy farm, they spring block calve jersey x Friesian cows. Annie also enjoys baking and if you are lucky you might get some samples!

Bev Smith

Bev joined Park Issa in 2018 as a Veterinary Care Assistant after completing her qualifications. Bev has enjoyed learning all aspects of her job and especially enjoys meeting all the daily challenges of working in a vets. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, loves baking for her husband and son (and us) as well as walking her 2 whippets, Flint and Holly.

Charlotte Davies

Charlotte joined Park Issa in the summer of 2022, and works on the small animal reception. She loves dogs and cows. She manages the social media page, and is super keen to get photo's of everyone's pets. In her free time she enjoys going to the gym, and wants be strong enough to bench press a cow :) She also has a dog called Toast

Chloe Burgess

Job Titles:

Chloe qualified from The Royal Veterinary College in 2010 and has worked in several small animal practices around the West Midlands before relocating to Oswestry in November 2020. Chloe previously completed a rotating small animal internship at The Royal Veterinary College, gaining further training in emergency and critical care. In addition to caring for the more critical cases, Chloe also has a special interest in surgery and completed a certificate in small animal surgery in 2017. Outside work Chloe has a busy household with her husband, two children, two border terriers Rupert and Scout, and cat Dobbie. She spends her time outdoors with family, introducing the children to canoeing, climbing, hiking, and - when the children are a little bigger - caving and scuba diving!

Chris Kirtley

Chris qualified from Liverpool University in 1988 and has been at Park Issa since 1995. Chris has gained a certificate in both Small Animal Surgery and Ophthalmology, a subject he is very interested in. Outside of work he enjoys walking his dogs, cycling and horse riding. He has also recently completed a welding course in MIG welding and can now be found sticking bits of metal together whenever he has spare time.

Dr Jon Mayer

Jon graduated from Nottingham University in 2016. He has worked with farm animals in Somerset, Market Drayton and Whitchurch among others. Jon further specialised in farm animals spending a year at Nottingham University researching and teaching before coming to Park Issa. Jon love of farm animals came from his early years as he grew up on a Dairy farm in Whitchurch. Outside of work Jon enjoys socialising, outdoor pursuits and baking.

Dr Kim Holliday BVSc

Kim joined the practice in October 2016. She works mainly on the small animal side and is currently doing a small animal certificate in medicine. Kim comes from a sheep farming background so particularly enjoys lambing time on the farm side. As well as being a vet (which takes up most of her time) Kim enjoys travelling the world, walking her dogs and going to crossfit.

Ellie Herman Oswestry

Ellie started at Park Issa in June 2023, her favourite parts of the job are administration, cleaning and seeing everyone's pets, especially dogs. In her free time she love watching films and TV, her favourite genres are adventure and comedy. She also enjoys playing strategy games and Skyrim. She has no pets at the minute but her dream dog is a Bernese Mountain Dog.

Emma Manford RVN

Emma joined the practice in 2008 as a trainee Veterinary Nurse. She became a qualified Veterinary Nurse from Myerscough College in January 2012. Emma loves all types of animals, and enjoys helping out at her mum's boarding kennels, walking her dogs and generally helping out! Emma also enjoys spending time at home with her beautiful daughters, Harriet and Isobel, cat, Annie and dog, Snoop Dogg.

Freyer Howells

Freyer joined the team in 2023. She has a keen interest in nurse consults and animal behaviour. At home she enjoys baking, reading and spending time with her menagerie of animals including two dogs, two tortoises and three cats!

Gemma Robinson

Gemma trained at Nottingham University with Jon Mayer and is originally from Pembrokeshire. She enjoys youngstock and herd health, outside of work she plays rugby and competes in Strong Woman competitions.

Georgia Rodgers RVN

Georgia joined our nursing team in October 2016. She has worked with animals since leaving college and decided to follow her passion into nursing. Georgia most enjoys the intensive treatment required by severe cases as you can really make a difference in an animal's time of need. Outside of work she looks after her little boy Henry, goes on family holidays and countryside walks with her two dogs Indie and Holly.

Karen Jones RVN

Katie Hughes RVN

Katie began her Veterinary Nursing journey at Park Issa in 2014, qualifying as a Registered Veterinary Nurse with us in 2016. Since then she has worked at other practises, however Katie rejoined the team in 2023 to spend more time on reception allowing her to focus more on her home life as a busy mum of two. You'll find her up the top on reception two days a week and nursing one day a week. Her favourite thing to do outside of work is walks on the beach with her family and two dogs Milly and Maggie.

Kerry Rigby

Kerry joined the practice in May 1986, during this time she has enjoyed many roles in the practice from working in both small and large animal reception through to doing the accounts. Kerry is often found organising and taking part in events to raise money for charities, especially Mental Health Research UK, in memory of Mark Robinson M.R.C.V.S. When not at work Kerry enjoys travelling around the UK and Europe on her Honda Goldwing 1800cc and walking her amazing dog Maddie.

Lucy Jones

Lucy qualified at Glasgow University in 1991. She worked in North Wales and Staffordshire, gaining a certificate in Small Animal Surgery. She has worked part time at Park Issa since August 2000. When not working she enjoys time on the vegetable plot or spending time with her children and their various hobbies. She has one lively collie, Bobby, and two lovely cats Kitty and Wotsit.

Michelle Davies RVN

Michelle joined Park Issa in January 2005 and qualified as a Veterinary Nurse in 2008, stepping up to Head Nurse in 2009. She is a trained Pet Health Counsellor, Pet Insurance Advisor and is also a clinical coach for our student nurses. Michelle has a keen interest in wildlife. In her spare time Michelle enjoys shopping, listening to music and spending time with her dogs.

Nikki joined the Park Issa team in September 2023, she has been in practice for 5 years and trained in a large animal hospital in Telford. She enjoys all aspects of her role with a particular interest in Anesthesia and Emergency Critical Care. She lives with her partner Adam and her two children, along with three cats in the mix! In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, park runs, camping, hill walking, paddle boarding and wild water swimming. Her latest project is to restore her vintage VW campervan called 'Marmalade'

Rachel Pruskin Student

Rachel joined us here at Park Issa in the summer of 2019 to begin her nurse training. Rachel has loved working with animals since doing animal ethics in university. Rachel has a particular interest in animal recovery which began when she spent a year in Portugal working in a dog shelter. In her spare time Rachel loves music, playing the piano and flute. Rachel enjoys walking her dog Sophie and running as well as travelling the world.

Rachel Woolley

Rachel qualified from Nottingham University in 2018 however she has been a regular at Park Issa throughout her training so knows many of us (staff and clients) already. Rachel works with both small and large animals and grew up on a local dairy farm. She has a special interest in flock health and small animal surgery. In her spare time Rachel enjoys helping her partner with his pheasants and competing at BE on her lovely grey mare Bally.

Rhian Andrew

Rhian has been working at Park Issa / New Foundry since December 2022, she had wanted to work in the animal care environment for a long time so jumped at the chance to join the team. She lives in Chester with her partner Will and two cats (Lucky and Luffy) She loves her family dearly and has an obsession with cats, films and gaming. She spends most of her free time at home snuggled on the sofa with the cats.

Sara joined Park Issa in 2013. Since being at the practice Sara has enjoyed the way her job role has developed and really enjoys seeing the animals that come in to the practice, especially the cats, and is often referred to by her colleagues as the "crazy cat lady". When not at work Sara loves spending time with her five cats Lucifer, Mortisha, Ares, Pestilence and Joker(and is always happy to show photos of them). Sara also loves to read and has a book collection of well over 500 books.

Steph joined us in September 2017 with a degree in Animal Science and started training to become a veterinary nurse at Rodbaston. She has a special interest in animal behaviour and ethics, but her favourite aspect of the job is when we get something a little more exotic into the practice. In her spare time, Steph is a keen photographer and enjoys landscape and wildlife photography especially whilst abroad. At home she cares for her dog Paisley, and her six mice which live in a four story high enclosure that Steph constructed herself.

Sue Walker

Sue started here at Park Issa in 2019 and is based in our New Foundry branch. She loves being part of the team and getting to know all our clients. She enjoys walking her black Labrador Molly and has recently taken up cycling. Since then she cycles regularly making new friends through her ladies' cycle club and has cycled in exotic locales such as Portugal, Spain and Croatia.

Suzanne Vos

Suzanne qualified from Ghent University in 2020 before coming to work here at Park Issa. She especially enjoys the mix between large animal and small animal and the variety of calls. She is particularly fond of the drive between farms as the scenery here in Shropshire and Mid Wales is very different from what she is used to at home in the Netherlands. When not working she enjoys travelling the world, her favourite country so far is South Africa where she vaccinated Rhino. Suzanne enjoys walking her dog and growing vegetables (which she supplies the staff with).

Vikki Lewis RVN

Vikki officially joined the team in 2012 following the completion of her degree at Harper Adams University. Since qualifying Vikki has gone on to become a trained Petplan advisor, diabetes advisor and a clinical coach. Vikki enjoys nurse consultations especially weight checks. She still thoroughly enjoys helping new students train as well. When not working Vikki enjoys spending time with her little boy and helping to calve cattle on her husband's farm, where she names the majority of the herd.

Vitoria Hipolito

Vitoria originates from The Azores and moved to the UK in 2021. Vitoria worked in Aberdeen prior to moving down to Shropshire. She enjoys hill walking with her adopted dog in her spare time.
