Allison is passionate about everything Bristol, and is so proud of our arty and musical city. She had a varied working career before MSS, across private healthcare and sales.
Both directors cover all aspects of the business as well as focusing on the strategic and operational decisions of the company and ensuring that the company meets its statutory obligations. Allison also oversees new business opportunities.
Allison's life is all about family, friends, travel and music. She enjoys getting away in her campervan at every opportunity, holidays, going to gigs, holidays, and, did we mention, holidays!
Amy joined the team in 2021 following 13 years in the financial sector. Branch based and head office combined, Amy is very experienced in dealing with people and with sensitive information.
Amy is responsible for handling the day-to-day communication and record keeping for a wide selection of our consultants, including all matters from instruction to confirmed appointment and beyond. She has a keen eye for detail and anticipating what information and paperwork is needed for consultants and instructing solicitors, which streamlines the process.
When not at work, Amy can be found at the park or a softplay with her two young children. In her spare time Amy enjoys baking and going out with her husband.
Dr Bowers is a full-time NHS Consultant Psychiatrist working on the Isle of Wight. He is experienced in preparing medico-legal reports on a wide range of psychiatric conditions in both adults and older adults.
Dr Owen, MBBS BMedSci(Hons) MRCPsych, is a consultant psychiatrist working in the field of general adult and community psychiatry. He works full time in the NHS having both inpatient and community responsibilities.
Dr Dilum Jayawickrama is a fully Registered Medical Practitioner. He holds degrees of Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery. He has a Master's Degree in Psychiatry. Dr Dilum Jayawickrama is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. His name is entered in the Specialist Register of the General Medical Council. Secretary of State has approved him under Section 12 of the Mental Health Act 1983 as having specialist experience in the diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders.
Dr Dilum Jayawickrama has gained significant experience in managing mentally disordered offenders in medium secure, high secure and a variety of other secure settings including low secure and locked rehabilitation units. He is currently employed by Priory Group Ltd as a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist. He has experience in managing both male and female patients within inpatient settings including patients with severe mental illness and personality disorders.
He has extensive experience (since 2007) in writing reports and giving oral evidence in a variety of settings, including criminal, civil and family courts. His reports are in line with the Civil Procedural Rules (CPR) and Criminal Procedural Rules (CrPR) standards. He has prepared reports in all variety of criminal cases, Personal Injury, Mental Health Review Tribunal, Family, Civil Cases including matters relating to Mental Capacity Act and National Equality Act 2010, Immigration etc.
Dr Dilum Jayawickrama is based in South Wales and has various consulting rooms. He can see clients in their homes, prisons and solicitors offices. He is prepared to travel throughout the country.
Dr Elizabeth Jackson trained at St Bartholomew's Medical School in London. She has a Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCST) in General Adult and Rehabilitation Psychiatry and is a Fellow of the Royal College Psychiatrists. She currently works in both private practice and in the NHS, where she has been a Consultant within the Westminster Home Treatment Team, since setting up the team in 2004. This team provides a home-based alternative to admission for people suffering serious mental health problems.
Dr Khan is a consultant psychiatrist who sees clients in the South West
Dr Scott is a consultant general adult psychiatrist in a busy community and in-patient post. She has worked in a broad range of specialities including general adult, child and adolescent psychiatry and learning disability. She has worked with the Mental Welfare Commission gaining experience with developing guidelines for best practice, assessment of patient care and investigating complaints. Her current post is as a General Adult Psychiatrist where she has been based for 11 years and since 2017 has also been a Clinical Director.

Dr James Eldred MBBS, MRCPsych, BSc (Hons) is a highly experienced Consultant Psychiatrist, with a broad range of expertise spanning both clinical and clinical leadership fields.
Dr Eldred has been a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist since 2008, and has experience of Medico-legal reporting over the past 14 years. He has GMC specialist accreditation in adult psychiatry and addiction psychiatry. He has built a widely respected clinical career, primarily in acute mental health care (Inpatient, Crisis and Home Treatment services), treating a broad range of conditions including trauma, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, personality disorders, addictions and psychosis, in addition to PTSD and asylum issues.
Dr Eldred has been involved in NHS leadership and service development in the South West since 2012. He was Clinical Director for Bristol for 5 years, and currently holds both clinical and leadership NHS contracts. He is recognised for developing care pathways, multi-agency partnership working, and for improving clinical governance. He has experience leading investigations into care delivery failings, and serious incidents including suicides. Dr Eldred was awarded the NHS Leadership Academy Award for Executive Healthcare Leadership in 2017.
Dr Eldred is based in the South West and can usually offer a local appointment within eight weeks, aiming to complete reports within four weeks of the appointment. He is happy to travel to see adults in a range of locations across the UK, and prides himself on a flexible approach to meet the client's needs.
Dr John Stephens graduated from Imperial College Faculty of Medicine (St Mary's Hospital) in 1990 and later undertook post-graduate training in psychiatry at St George's Hospital Medical school. He has dual accreditation from the Royal College of Psychiatrists for both Adult and Old Age psychiatry with specialist accreditation for Liaison Psychiatry. He has previously worked in a court diversion scheme and has received training as an expert witness.

Dr Lucy Griffin MBBS MRCPsych is a Consultant General Adult Psychiatrist based at the Priory Hospital in Bristol. She has specialist accreditation in both liaison psychiatry and addictions.
Dr Andrew has worked as a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry (NHS and independent sectors), Old Age Psychiatry (NHS), and he is an Honorary Lecturer.
Dr Layton currently works as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the Independent Sector. He has worked as a consultant since 2008 initially as a substantive consultant in the NHS.
Dr Layton is based in Bristol and can travel up to two hours, as far as Cornwall, Wales, the Midlands and the North West. He prefers to carry out assessments at solicitors' offices.
Dr Rasul is a consultant psychiatrist, is currently working for NHS Scotland as an Elderly Mental Health Consultant and he is a director and consultant psychiatrist for a private mental health clinic based in Glasgow
Since Dr Mallett's consultant appointment in 1993, he has gained extensive medicolegal experience across a range of areas of criminal and civil litigation representing both plaintiffs and defendants. He has completed approximately 150 reports per year and has appeared regularly as an expert witness in Court and Employment Tribunal in relation to these.

Dr Naveen is a Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry with experience both in the NHS and independent sectors.
Dr Naveen is a consultant psychiatrist with 22 years' experience of psychiatric practice in several settings. He was accepted onto the specialist register in 2016. He has worked in the NHS from 2000-2023, and now works in the independent sector. He is fully accredited for Continuing Professional Development by the Royal College Psychiatrists. He has expertise in general adult psychiatry, experience in psychosis, mood disorder, psychological trauma, personality disorder, and anxiety disorder.
Dr Slinn has been a psychiatrist for more than 25 years, first appointed as a consultant in 2001. She worked for more than 20 years in the NHS holding consultant posts in Scotland and Gloucestershire. Dr Slinn now works as a consultant psychiatrist for the care quality commission as a second opinion approved doctor under the mental health act as well as having a thriving independent practice.
Dr Lanka is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist with expertise in General Adult, Liaison, Forensic and Neuropsychiatry across both NHS and independent sectors. He has also worked as a Research and Development Lead and Regional Medical director.
Dr Lanka worked as a consultant Neuropsychiatrist employed until recently as Regional Medical Director for Cygnet Health Care. He has special expertise in brain injury, alcohol related brain damage, functional neurological symptoms, work-related stress and ADHD.
Dr Lanka is an Approved Clinician under Section 12 of the MHA in England and Wales. He has regular private and medico-legal assessment clinics in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool. He is also happy to carry out home assessments of claimants.

Emma joined MSS in May 2023 after 7 years in the roofing department of a Facilities Management Company, where she carried out a variety of administrative tasks. Prior to that she worked for the Road Haulage Association, working alongside the compliance team.
Emma's main role is to assist in the organising of conferences and appointments, answering the phones and working with our consultants to ensure they have what they need when they need it.
When not at work, Emma spends her time with her children and husband making the most of them being young and making lots of memories. They love their family camping trips and summer holidays. She is also a qualified freestyle dance teacher which she put on hold to raise her children.

Jennifer joined MSS in May 2022 after taking a career break to raise her three children, she has previously worked for the Ambulance Service & with children with special educational needs.
Jennifer's main responsibilities are to ensure all new instructions are processed correctly and efficiently, along with logging records and communications, and answering the phones.
In her spare time Jennifer can be found at her allotment or in the garden with her chickens & ducks, she also enjoys music festivals, camping & Yoga.

Maria joined the team in 2013 and her role is to ensure the smooth running of appointments so that everyone involved knows when and where they need to be with all appropriate resources.
She is also responsible for prompting solicitors when fees are due for payment and providing a liaison service between solicitors and consultants to ensure payments are not missed, as well as sending remittances to consultants.
Born in Bristol, Maria spends most of her spare time running around the country for her youngest son's football matches and occasionally keeping fit by running!
Sarah has worked within the psychiatric medical field for over 20 years, previous to that based within assurance services.
Both directors cover all aspects of the business as well as focusing on the strategic and operational decisions of the company and ensuring that the company meets its statutory obligations. Sarah also deals with legislation, GDPR and the financial side of the business.
Sarah is Bristolian through and through and has two gorgeous labradors who take up a large chunk of her spare time. Her other passions are live music in any format and, in common with her fellow founder Allison, lots of travel.
Zoe moved to Bristol in 2001 and started with us in 2014. She has varied past careers including research chemist, administrator in a local prison, Body Shop at Home consultant and a crochet business.

She has a keen eye for detail and anticipating what information and paperwork is needed for consultants and instructing solicitors, which streamlines the process.
