JMD LAW - Key Persons
Christine previously worked in the property sector; working for Surveyors, Estate Agents, Business Transfer Agent. She worked for a family Solicitor prior to joining JMD Law as a legal secretary.
Christine is a Scottish Country Dancer and is a part-qualified teacher of it. She has been dancing for over 50 years and enjoys other activities such as walking, cycling, swimming and tent camping. She is interested in conservation issues.
Dave joined JMD law in May 2021 as an Office Assistant for the Firm and works for Deputyship, Probate and Conveyancing. Dave assists in carrying out inspections of properties and ensures they are secure and not damaged. He arranges utility companies to attend the properties if there are any problems, such as locksmiths and window fitters. A major part of his role here at JMD is to assist all members of the team with the running of the day-to-day requirements of a busy law firm.
Dominique qualified from the University of South Wales with an LL.B in 2018 and is due to complete the Legal Practice Course in Summer 2020.
Dominique joined the Conveyancing Department at JMD in April 2019 as a Paralegal and has also worked in our Court of Protection Team.
Fran joined JMD Law in September 2020 as a Legal Secretary within our Court of Protection and Clinical Negligence Department.
Gentiana studied business administration and tourism in Greece and made the decision to move to Wales 3 years ago. In her spare time, Gentiana enjoys learning foreign languages and taking salsa lessons.
Lauren graduated from Cardiff University with a 2:1 in Business Information Systems in July 2018 and has followed that up achieving her MSc in Crime, Safety and Justice.
Lauren is currently training to be a solicitor through the SQE route.

Nigel's solicitor training was held in London's Fleet Street and once he qualified in 1986 he spent a number of years working in the City of London. After many successful years, he moved home to Cardiff in 1990 and set up his own firm (the basis of JMD Law) in 1992.
Nigel is passionate about the part he plays in advising the elderly and vulnerable; acting as an attorney to many people who may fall into these categories. He is a member of Solicitors for the Elderly and is one of only three solicitors in Wales to be part of the Office of the Public Guardian Panel of Professional Deputies.
Nigel also heads the Conveyancing Department.

Apart from her University years in Plymouth and a short spell in Bristol Sarah has spent most of her life in South Wales.
Sarah undertook her training in small high street practice near Newport enjoying the challenge of dealing with a wide range of areas of law. After meeting her English husband Sarah moved across the Bridge for a few years undertaking mainly volume relocation conveyancing in a Bristol firm before the pull of the green, green, grass of home became too much and they relocated to Penarth. Sarah spent more than 12 years in a long established high street practice in Penarth specialising in conveyancing before joining JMD Law in September 2018 as Head of Conveyancing and with more than 20 year experience behind her.
Sarah is passionate about helping people through what can be (but needn't be) the daunting task of buying and selling their homes and doing so in a friendly and professional manner.
