Matt Smith established EMS Capital in 2010. An international business graduate, Matt has over 15 years executive search experience. He brings a strong commercial and technical understanding, combined with a network of contacts at the highest levels in the industries he operates in. EMS geographical coverage is international having recruited senior executive in the US, Asia and mainland Europe. Matt founded EMS Capital after 10 years working at 3 of London's major executive search firms. He was responsible for running divisions across energy, real estate, construction and critical engineering. With a focus on senior leadership appointments, Matt built up a global CRES division and worked on high-end strategic global search assignments both on the client side and for engineering, real estate and FM consultancies. During this time, he built a strong network of industry contacts and clients both nationally and internationally, especially across EMEA, US and the Asia Pacific regions. In addition to his recruiting experience, Matt has also executed market research and competitor analysis for several global engineering consultancies looking to expand into new geographies via acquisition, and has previously worked as a business manager and web developer for a global telecoms business.
