Joanne Thames, Associate Director, is a qualified Taxation Technician and has specialised in expatriate taxation since 1999, firstly with Andersen then Deloitte in the Thames Valley and subsequently with PWC in London. Joanne joined ExpatMatters in 2013. Joanne has a track record of successfully managing expatriate populations for multinational companies and providing tax compliance and consulting services to both employees and employers. More recently Joanne has been involved in providing cross-border planning advice for senior individuals and their employers.
Rachel McFie, Associate Director, is a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and has specialised in expatriate taxation since 1997, firstly with Andersen then Deloitte in the Thames Valley and subsequently in Leeds and Manchester. Rachel joined ExpatMatters in 2016 and is based near Manchester. Rachel has worked with a wide and varied corporate client base with very different expatriate populations, dealing with the personal UK compliance as well as the corporate issues such as the design, implementation and application of assignment and tax equalisation policies. Rachel has also facilitated tax technical training on professional and Masters level qualifications.
Victoria Stephens, Director, is a qualified Chartered Tax Adviser and has specialised in expatriate taxation since 1996, firstly with Andersen in London and Sydney and subsequently with Deloitte in the Thames Valley. Victoria has significant experience advising clients, across many industries, on complex tax, social security, compliance and payroll issues. Victoria also has notable expertise in advising on cross-border planning, liaising as appropriate with clients' internal HR, finance and payroll functions. Victoria established ExpatMatters as a niche practice in 2009.
