Biography
Adam joined JM Finn in 2022, previously working at Fidelity International where he helped individuals and families manage their wealth. Adam qualified as a Chartered Wealth Manager in 2018 and has over a decade's worth of private wealth client experience obtained within various investment management roles, including a spell working in Zurich, Switzerland looking after the financial affairs of expatriates.
Alongside his daily priority of managing investment portfolios for private clients and trustees, he is a member of the firm's Collective Investments Committee, focusing on Global Collectives.

Biography
Alan Fleming FCSI is a Senior Investment Manager with JM Finn. After several years working within the Chartered Accountancy and Chartered Secretary & Administrators environment, Alan's City career started with R M McKean & Co. in 1984 now part of Charles Stanley. Prior to joining JM Finn in 2003, he was an Equity Partner of Nicholson Barber & Co. Stockbrokers and a Director of certain associated companies. Following the amalgamation of Nicholson Barber and BWD Rensburg Investment Management (now Investec) in 1999, he was appointed a Senior Investment Director. He is a former regional president of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) of which he is a Chartered Fellow. Alan lives in the East of England with his family and when time permits, his outside interests are many and varied but primarily relate to Boating (Department of Transport qualified), Motorcycling, Photography and Clay/Target shooting.

Alex joined JM Finn in 2006 having studied Business Studies at University and subsequently completed his Legal Practice Course before pursuing a job in investment management. Alex manages portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts and pensions. He is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Alex has two young children and his interests span from being an avid sports fan (supporting any Welsh team) to fish keeping and he's a batsman for the firm's highly decorated cricket team.

Biography
Alison joined JM Finn in 2014 as Head of Internal Audit and was subsequently appointed Head of Risk in January 2018.
Prior to joining JM Finn, Alison worked at RBS and KPMG. She is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants England & Wales.

Biography
Andrew Banks is an Honours graduate in Business Studies, he is a Chartered Member of the Securities Institute and has nearly 30 years of investment management experience. Andrew started his career with Hambros Investment Management in 1986 and then moved to Singer & Friedlander Investment Management in 1995. Singers were acquired by Williams de Broë in 2008 from where Andrew joined JM Finn in 2012. As well as managing conventional private client portfolios, Andrew has been managing tax efficient investments, including IHT, EIS and VCT portfolios since the launch of the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) in 1995. He has vast experience of the AIM and is the manager of JM Finn's Inheritance Tax Portfolio Service. He sits on the panel that assesses and selects the winners of the PwC AIM Awards each October.

Biography
After Reading University and the Coldstream Guards, Andrew`s City career started at Gerrard Vivian Gray in 1994 and following a succession of takeovers, he joined JM Finn in 2010 from BNP Paribas/Fortis. Although he lives in East Anglia with his family, Andrew was born in Australia but brought up in South Asia & East Africa.
Andrew manages nearly £400 million of bespoke investment portfolios on behalf of private clients and works closely with our wealth planning team to provide investment management services for a variety of clients with a particular specialism in Court of Protection mandates.
Andrew was recommended as a High Net Worth Manager in The Spear's 500 2020, 2021,2022 and 2023 Index and was named ‘Outstanding in field'. He was also shortlisted as the Wealth Manager of the Year at the 2020 and 2023 City of London Wealth Management Awards.
He is a keen sportsman and outdoor enthusiast and especially enjoys cricket, running and gardening as well as attending to his flock of Portland sheep.

Andrew Mann - Chief Investment Officer
Biography
After reading Geography at Loughborough University, Andrew started working as an Equities Trader for a City firm before joining Gerrard Investment Management as a graduate trainee in 2004. Moving to JM Finn in January 2007, he was promoted to the role of Investment Director in 2022. Andrew is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and in his spare time, a keen cyclist and occasional ultra-marathon runner.

Andrew joined JM Finn in August 2009. Previously he worked at Smith & Williamson after their merger in 2002 with NCL Investments which he joined in 1989. He started working for Montagu Loebl Stanley, followed by a stint at Charlton Seal Dimmock. In 1986 he moved to Laurie Milbank which was subsequently taken over by Chase Manhattan Securities. He manages investment portfolios for individuals, including their ISAs and SIPPs, family groups and Trusts.

Ann joined JM Finn in 2006 from an accountancy firm. Since joining JM Finn, Ann has achieved her CISI Fundamentals of Financial Services Certificate (Level 2). Ann has worked for the Charities Team with Mark Powell, Sam Barty-King and Alison Finney since 2017, assisting with administrative needs of the team. Ann lives in Kent with her family and enjoys paddle boarding and scuba diving.

Biography
Anna joined JM Finn in 2015 to establish and run the Firm's new Wealth Planning offering. Originally from the North-East of England, Anna has a BA Hons Degree in Psychology from Newcastle-Upon-Tyne. Anna is a Chartered Financial Planner, has achieved Fellowship of the Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) and also holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). Prior to joining JM Finn, Anna was Head of Financial Planning at UBS Wealth Management in London. Anna has been providing clients with Wealth Planning advice since 2004 and specialises in personal financial planning including estate and retirement planning.
Anna has been nominated for the 2019 Women in Financial Advice Awards as Financial Adviser of the Year - London.

Biography
Antonia, BA FCSI, joined the team in 2007. She started her career at Man Group, then moved to JPMorgan Asset Management before joining JM Finn. Antonia is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and sits on the Asset Allocation and Stock Selection Committees for the firm.
Antonia enjoys volunteering for Charities and is currently a Trustee and Chairman of the Finance Committee of the York Minster Fund as well as being a Member of the Investment and Audit Committee of the Yorkshire Agricultural Society. She is a Governor and Foundation Trustee of local prep school, Aysgarth School, and is a Committee member of the Northern branch of Art for Youth.

Atticus joined JM Finn in 2017 and is a Wealth Planner within the team. He graduated with First Class Honours in Economics from Swansea University and is now a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society (PFS) and a Chartered Financial Planner. Atticus's expertise includes retirement planning, tax planning, and wealth structuring. In his spare time, Atticus is occupied by a variety of sports with Australian rules football, Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and bouldering being chief among these. He also enjoys spending time outdoors and is a Trustee for his local community garden.

Biography
Barry joined JM Finn in 2016 as a Business Manager within our Investment Management areas and in 2021 he was appointed as the COO within the same department.
Prior to working at JM Finn, Barry worked in retail and institutional asset management, holding the role of Global Chief of Staff for the Technology division at Invesco Perpetual, and COO for the Distribution division of Federated Hermes.

Biography
Ben joined the team in 2016 after graduating from Edinburgh University, having studied Economic History. Prior to this he spent his summers working in JM Finn's London office in a variety of roles. Ben completed the CISI Masters exams in 2019, achieving the highest mark in his cohort. He was subsequently invited to become an examiner for the CISI and a member of the CISI East Anglian Committee. Additionally, Ben is a part of the JM Finn Collectives panel and is Chairman of the local young professional network. Ben lives in Norfolk enjoying the surrounding countryside and the various pursuits this offers.
Ben was included in Citywire Wealth Manager's Top 30 under 30, their annual list of high achieving future leaders.

Ben Gedney - Chief Investment Officer
Biography
Ben, an Investment Director at JM Finn, manages Private Client, Trust, Pension and Charity investment portfolios. In addition, he has responsibility for supervising a number of other investment managers. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.
Ben started his investment management career at James Capel/HSBC in 1993 and spent 13 years with the company before joining JM Finn in 2006. Prior to working in investment management, Ben completed a short service commission in the Army.
Ben grew up and lives in Kent. He is married with a son and a daughter and enthusiastically plays tennis and golf, mainly to amuse others. He also enjoys watching cricket and hockey, as well as walking his dogs and making apple juice.

Ben joined JM Finn in 2018 having graduated from the University of Bristol with a BSc in Economics, from Lloyds Banking Group. Ben advises on Emerging Markets Collectives in the firm's Collectives' Committee, sits on the Firm's Stock Selection Committee, alongside his primary role as a Investment Manager. Ben is a qualified CISI Chartered Wealth Manager and has attained the CISI Investment Advice Diploma. Outside of the office, Ben is an avid sports fan and is a keen golfer, skier and enjoys travelling in his free time.

Biography
Bill started his career with JM Finn in 2004 after leaving Reading University in 2003 with a Chemistry degree. Bill subsequently joined Singer and Friedlander which was taken over by Williams de Broë, which was then acquired by Investec. He returned to JM Finn's Winchester office in 2021.
Bill is a liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Clothworkers, gaining the Freedom of the City of London in 2002. He manages a wide range of private client portfolios which include ISAs, SIPPs, charities, trusts and companies.

Bruce Johnson - Chief Investment Officer
Biography
Bruce attended University College London graduating with a First Class Honours Degree in Civil Engineering before joining Vivian Gray in 1987. Following the takeover of Gerrard Vivian Gray, Bruce became a Director of Greig Middleton and later a Divisional Director of Gerrard. Bruce joined JM Finn in 2007. Bruce is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment.

Biography
Carrie joined JM Finn as Marketing Manager in May 2023. Her role focuses on content and communications, in addition to supporting the wider marketing team. Carrie's most recent position was in marketing at Canaccord Genuity Wealth Management. Prior to this, she worked for Which? and Euromonitor International with a career background primarily spanning editorial and market analysis.
Carrie has a BA Hons in French and German from the University of Sheffield and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Law, where she also gained the Legal Practice Course (LPC) solicitor qualification.
Outside work, Carrie has a young son who keeps her busy. She also loves travelling and figure skating.

Biography
Charles studied Economics at Newcastle University followed by a Masters degree in Spanish at the University of Salamanca before joining JM Finn in 2003. Charles is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment and manages portfolios on behalf of private clients, trusts, companies, personal pensions and charities. He is responsible for maintaining the Japan recommended fund list within the firm's collective investment monitoring process. He is a keen sportsman with particular interest in cricket, golf and fly fishing and is a founder member of the Old Carthusian Racing Society.

Charlie joined JM Finn in 2018 after graduating with a 2:1 in Archaeology from Cardiff University. He currently works alongside Toby Clarkson and Michael Holder and is a Chartered member of the CISI. Charlie is also a member of the firm's collectives committee with a focus on the UK Equity Income sector. Outside of work Charlie enjoys cricket and skiing and when time allows, sailing at his family's home in Cornwall.

Charlotte joined JM Finn in 2013 from an IFA in Surrey and has worked alongside Paul Dyas since 2017, assisting with investment and client relations. She is a member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment, holding the Investment Advice Diploma (Level 4). Charlotte lives in London and is a keen runner, having recently completed her first marathon, she enjoys concerts and the theatre and is heavily involved with a number of charities.

Christophe Maters joined Ackermans & van Haaren as an Investment Director in May 2023, having previously worked at Bain & Company, Qatar National Bank and Quintet Private Bank. Christophe brings to the role experience in corporate strategy definition and implementation, M&A, and hands-on experience across various governance roles in wealth management including sales management, marketing, digital roadmaps roll-outs and ESG strategy developments. At Ackermans & van Haaren he is mostly active in the banking sector: next to his role with JM Finn, he is also a Non-Executive Director for FinAx and Bank van Breda. He holds an MBA from The Kellogg School of Management (Northwestern University, USA), and a Master in Management Sciences from the Solvay Business School (ULB, Belgium).
Biography
Chris has worked at JM Finn since 2004 and was appointed an Investment Director in 2015. Chris is part of a team that manages portfolios on behalf of a broad variety of clients. With a focus on bottom-up fundamental analysis, Chris makes a point of meeting with as many companies as possible prior to investment, which he firmly believes adds value in terms of portfolio construction. One of Chris's primary interests is the inner workings of government, a passion which led him to study politics at Newcastle University, after which he joined a City commodity broker before moving to JM Finn. When time permits Chris plays squash, watches rugby and likes to travel as far afield as possible.

Biography
Clare joined JM Finn as a Wealth Planner in December 2019, joining from Cazenove Capital, where she had spent five years. Clare's career in Wealth Planning began in 2006, and in this time, she has developed expertise in estate planning, wealth structuring, and also retirement planning.
She is a Chartered Financial Planner, holding the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, (APFS), as well as being an alumnus of the University of Birmingham, holding a BA Hons degree in Medieval & Modern History.
Outside of work, Clare is a keen amateur photographer and attends night classes where she is working towards the Pearson Level III Photography Award.
She loves to travel and spend time outdoors, for both exercise and exploring purposes, (more often than not, with camera in hand). Although originally from the North West of England, she and her husband have made Richmond their home, an area which provides endless potential for her to indulge her favourite past times.
