Andy is an electrical design engineer with over 15 years' experience in building services on projects across many sectors including education, large scale residential, retail and commercial, both on new build projects and challenging refurbishments to iconic buildings in and around the north of England.

Angela Hogg

Job Titles:

Financial Controller

Angela is an integral part of our financial and administration team with over 22 years' office experience within the property, construction and building services industry. Organisation is Angela's forte as well as proficient administration support to managers and work colleagues alike. She has expertise in accounts software and was instrumental in implementing the company's time, cost and expense management system. This program provides live financial reporting and has aided the company in terms of financial control. On her days off she enjoys taking her daughter to dance class, and has even had the opportunity to see her little one perform at the Palace Theatre in Manchester. She's a keen glamper and is always looking for that unique location (without a roll mat in sight, obviously).

Angelika Mamel

Angelika has worked in building services for eight years, with much of her experience focused on the healthcare sector. Since joining Crookes Walker she has been involved in a range of commercial and residential projects at various design stages.

Asiya Saud

Asiya is a recent graduate in architectural engineering. She has a robust academic background with experience spanning commercial, residential and healthcare projects. With a profound passion for sustainable solutions, she has conducted first-class research into making a commercial building in the UK net zero.

Ben Hawksworth

Job Titles:

Mechanical Associate

Ben has over 18 years' experience in the building services industry joining CWC in early 2010. Having worked on a variety of projects in sectors including commercial, retail, leisure and residential. Sponsored by CWC, Ben completed his degree in building services engineering part time at Liverpool John Moores University, gaining a first class honours, having already completed his ONC, HNC and HND in Building Services Engineering. Recently, Ben has gained extensive experience delivering mechanical services designs in residential, office and retail sectors and has been involved with several large scale residential and commercial developments.

Bradley White

Job Titles:

Apprentice

Bradley has joined Crookes Walker as an apprentice and is currently working towards his BTEC Level 3 National Diploma in Building Services Engineering. With some experience in residential and healthcare projects, he is now looking forward to working in different sectors as he gains more knowledge in the industry. Brad spends his free time following Liverpool F.C. and sightseeing, usually in Wales and the Lake District with his two dogs .

Brent Slater

Intermediate Electrical Engineer

Brent has over ten years' experience in the construction industry, starting with on-site electrical installation before moving into design work. He has worked in a range of sectors including commercial, educational, domestic and healthcare, and has recently graduated from Liverpool John Moores University with his degree in building services engineering. In his spare time you'll find Brent playing or watching football. He also loves to travel and aims to get a Michelin star meal in every city he visits.

Chris Skinner - CEO

Professional Building Services Design Engineer

Chris is a professional building services design engineer with over twenty years of technical and leadership experience within the construction industry. This experience spans a diverse range of projects within consultant, client team, main-contractor and sub-contractor environments. Chris has most recently been responsible for the delivery and technical governance of the building services design packages associated with some of the largest healthcare and aviation projects within the UK. Holding accreditation with both the BRE and CIBSE Chris is fully conversant with the sustainability agenda and strives to optimize the performance of buildings and contribute positively towards a sustainable and low carbon building industry.

Conner Evans

Job Titles:

Senior Mechanical Engineer

Conner has over eight years' experience in the building services industry, working in a range of sectors including healthcare, residential, retail, education, hotels and leisure. He spends his free time at gym, playing squash and supporting Liverpool FC. His career highlights so far include Mowgli Street Food Restaurant in Birmingham, The Produce Exchange in Liverpool, and surgical wards and theatres at The Christie hospital.

Connor Culleton

Connor is a Liverpool FC Fan who also enjoys playing football in his spare time. He has six years' experience in the industry since completing his degree in Building Services Engineering Project Management at Liverpool John Moores University. His experience spans a broad range of sectors including residential, retail, education, hotels and leisure. Since joining Crookes Walker in 2019, Connor has been involved in a range of commercial and residential projects at various design stages.

Dave Walker - Founder

David has over 25 years' experience of building services engineering with small and large consulting engineering practices. He has broad sector experience, particularly in masterplanning, commercial offices, mixed use, retail, industrial and residential schemes. David has extensive experience in the management of projects and in all aspects of professional consultancy services, ranging from building acquisitions, due diligence reviews, dilapidations negotiations and troubleshooting under-performing buildings.

Ellie Schofield

Job Titles:

Building Performance Engineer

Ellie joined the team as a thermal modeller, after graduating with an honours degree in Architectural Engineering. She is particularly proud of developing a model and Part L reports for an Electricity North West building located in Preston. Ellie also has experience in AutoCAD gained from working for a local construction consultancy whilst studying, and she is excited to learn more about thermal modelling and low carbon design at Crookes Walker Consulting.

Gareth Rowlands

A Chartered Engineer with over 20 years' experience, Gareth once had the pleasure of meeting Steven Gerrard in a lift. He has extensive experience across a wide range of sectors from commercial and education to residential, health care and industrial of varying size and complexity. This has led to an understanding of the complex servicing requirements for various building types from statutory services compliance, process workflows and constraints, as well as the ability to appreciate the specific needs of clients, end users and other key stakeholders, such as facilities mangers. A wide breadth and depth of experience aids Gareth in providing appropriate advice and solutions tailored to each specific client brief and requirements. His expertise includes mechanical and service design, legionella risk assessments, building regulations part L and thermal modelling, BREEAM, sustainable design and energy analysis. Gareth enjoys developing lasting relationships with clients and design team members based upon delivery of appropriate advice and solutions. Over the last four years Gareth has worked on a number of BIM Level II schemes following PAS 1192 to deliver coordinated developed MEP designs, working for clients and contractors alike.
