Andrew graduated from Reading University in 2002 with a BSc in Land Management, working in Oxford as a land agent for 2 years before heading north to Liverpool to complete a BVSc, graduating in 2009, when he joined Rutland Vets.
For 10 years he worked as a mixed vet, and for the last 4 has worked exclusively with companion animals. He has a keen interest in DIY and vehicle repair and has transferred these skills to his passion, surgery, and especially orthopaedics. This allows the practice to offer procedures that previously had to be referred. He gained a certificate in small animal surgery in 2022.
In his free time he enjoys fixing his Pinzgauer's and spending time with his family.

Ian graduated from Cambridge in 2009 and started work in the Welsh Marches. After a few years of mixed practice, he decided to concentrate on small animal work and has been with Rutland Vets since October 2016.
He is an Advanced Practitioner in Internal Medicine, holds a postgraduate certificate in this area and particularly enjoys the diagnostic challenge of managing and treating more complex non-surgical cases.

Emma graduated from the University of Liverpool in 2009 and worked in mixed practice for 2 years before moving into purely small animal practice. Emma has worked at Rutland Veterinary Centre since 2013 and gained her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice in 2015. She is especially interested in soft tissue surgery, inpatient care and dermatology.
Outside of work Emma looks after her two boys (3 if you include her husband), 2 dogs, 2 cats and 5 sheep.

Harriet was born in the Welland Valley in Leicestershire, she graduated from Bristol Vet School in 2008. She worked for a couple of years in practice before heading off to work in Australia and New Zealand for 8 months. On returning to the UK she worked in Lincolnshire and Leicestershire before joining Rutland Vets in spring 2014. She is especially interested in calf management, and takes on all aspects of large animal work.
Harriet is married to Joe, a dairy farmer. She enjoys travelling, riding her horses and walking her 3 dogs.

Henry grew up in Leicestershire and, on graduating from the Royal Vet College in London in 2007, he moved back to work at FVS. He is involved with both small and large animal work.
Henry has several horses and spends his free time eventing around the country.

Jodie grew up in Leicester but spent 2 years in Australia. Whilst in Australia she volunteered at a wildlife rescue centre and was fortunate to be able to help care for orphaned kangaroo and koala. She also went swimming with sharks!
Jodie joined our Oakham reception team in January 2017 and holds a GNVQ in Animal Care.
Jodie has a lovely Labrador cross Collie dog called Lottie.

Morven graduated from the University of Bath with a BSc in Applied Biology having spent her industrial placement year as a trainee zookeeper at Chester Zoo. She went on to obtain a PhD in domestic pig behaviour from Bristol University, and later to work as a Research Fellow, studying social behaviour in domestic pigs and laying hens at the Royal Veterinary College until 2008.
After qualifying as a Veterinary Nurse, Morven moved to Rutland Veterinary Centre in 2013 where she particularly enjoys surgical nursing and diagnostic imaging. Morven became Head Nurse in 2018. She also loves being a Clinical Coach, which involves supporting and training student veterinary nurses in practice.
Outside of work, Morven runs, practices yoga and plays clarinet in a local concert band. She enjoys spending time with her two young girls, her husband, her rescue cat Sophie and Cocker Spaniel Pip.
