A solicitor of over 25 years' experience, Andrew deals with a wide range of commercial matters, assisting a wide range of clients as individuals, partnerships, limited companies, and PLCs.
Andrew has niche areas of specialism including the sale and acquisition of businesses, including; the healthcare sector (in particular optometrists, dentists, and care homes), the hospitability trade (including the sale, acquisition, and refinancing of restaurants, coffee shops, pubs, and holiday parks). He also deals with the acquisition of land for development purposes and the setting up of developments for onward sale in the form of plot sales. Andrew is also the self-proclaimed manager/coach and midfield dynamo of the Mackenzie Jones Football Team who have enjoyed fifteen seasons without defeat. He has also been awarded the accolade of Second Funniest Director and was also the winner of the Mackenzie Jones Best Beard Award until August 2022 when he at long last decided to shave.
Andrew is a keen traveller and spends his spare time in lesser explored areas of the world, having travelled extensively across Asia, Australia, the Middle East, and North America. He has also been known to join the hordes of Welsh football fans across Europe, including a trip through Moldova and Ukraine, somehow ending up in Kosovo. In 2022 he followed Wales to the World Cup in Qatar. He enjoys mountaineering and has completed a three peaks charity hike, and has trekked across Iceland (the Country not the supermarket).
Andrew has a second life as a fiction writer, his first novel published in 2008 was the cryptically titled Seductive Amoebae, followed by Starbucks Ate My Lobster (2013) and A Cat Called Robson-Kanu (2016). In the pipeline is the part fact, part fiction book based on Andrew's role as Solicitor to Wrexham Football Club, in the recent take-over by Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. A supporter of the club for 45 years, it was a surreal and emotional case to be involved in; with the deal being in the international media spotlight, including a documentary charting the journey, now airing on Disney Plus.
