Having started as a Runner at Blue Post Production back in 1999, Barrie has been an Online Editor now for around 20 years, working on such shows as Sherlock, Take Me Out and the first couple of series of Great British Bake Off. Since joining ENVY as a Senior Online Editor, Barrie has worked on a wide range of documentaries, returning series, dramas and entertainment shows - he really enjoys the variety that comes with the role.
When out of work, Barrie will be watching all of the beautifully-crafted, critically-acclaimed dramas, comedies & music docs. After attending most festivals for around 25 years, he has swapped this for parenthood - and so spends his time wistfully staring off into the middle-distance, listening to his collection of records. Luke's first taste of the industry came in the form of work experience with his next door neighbour, Jim Bambrick, who gave him a taste for the industry and the creativity that comes with it. He joined ENVY as an Edit Assistant and worked his way up to his position today of Senior Online Editor, his previous roles included Junior Editor, Senior Editor and Flame Operator.
Some of Luke's notable projects include ‘Sing On', his first Flame job as well as ‘Sneakerhead', ‘Stath Lets Flats' and ‘Bloods' series 2, all of which were worked on in Flame but are all scripted comedies. These projects were very fulfilling and Luke enjoyed collaborating with some fantastic teams.
Luke is a big fan of early 80's anime, his favourites being Akira, Golgo 13 and Ninja Scroll. He loves the care and dedication that goes into making the films but also the storytelling too.
