Beth Evans

Beth supports our Client Relationship Managers and Financial Planners and works in the Lincoln office. Originally from North Wales, Beth now lives in Lincoln with her partner Antony having previously spent most of her life in Liverpool. Having studied Theology for 5 years at Chester University, Beth began her career in the financial sector following the completion of her Masters degree working with legacy pensions for Phoenix Life. She soon developed a keen interest in pensions and understanding their complexities, which led to her wanting to pursue a role in financial services. In her spare time, Beth can be found reading as she attempts a New Year's resolution to read 52 books this year - she's currently on book 44. Beth is also an avid baker, her favourites include traditional Welsh bara brith, hot cross buns, and cherry bakewell. We look forward to sampling these at the quarterly team meetings, with her chocolate brownies already legendary in the Lincoln office. Clive has been a Financial Planner for 20 years. In 2010, he discovered a different way of delivering a life people want; not just the money they want. Over the years, Clive has become acutely aware of the aspects of his work that his clients truly value. David Bostock

David is our Senior Client Relationship Manager having worked in financial planning since 2015. Originally from the ex-mining town of Ilkeston, David has remained close to his home town of Nottingham, and has recently moved in with his partner Emma. David's passion is history specifically the Crusades and Medieval Military Orders of the Knights Hospitaller and Knights Templar having graduated from Nottingham Trent University with a degree in the subject. Despite this David found an unexpected enthusiasm for a career in financial services. His journey begun in pension administration, but he then progressed through to technical support, marketing and qualified as an adviser in 2020 When he's not spending time with his partner & family, David is a self-proclaimed nerd, enjoying fantasy and sci-fi films & books. David is currently working through an ever-growing pile of painting miniatures based in the Warhammer 40K videogame! An avid traveller, David recounts his holiday to Rome & Vatican City as a personal favourite. Hollie Simpson

Hollie joined the Serenity team in 2018 as a Client Relationship Manager. Having previously worked from our Lincoln office, she has relocated back to the North East and now works remotely from her home in Chester Le Street. Hollie's key role is to support our clients and Financial Life Planners and is currently completing an apprenticeship in Paraplanning, with the aim to become level four qualified by the end of 2023. Outside of work Hollie has recently bought her first home with boyfriend Silvio and their two furry children, Boxer dog Oscar and new edition Arlo who they rescued from a stray shelter earlier this year. A proclaimed ‘foodie' and lover of true crime shows, Hollie also loves exploring new places both in and outside of the UK. Ian Kemp

Ian joined Serenity in the autumn of 2016 with more than 20 years experience in financial services. His focus is helping people understand what they really want to do with their lives and then working together to make sure the money is in place to make it all happen. He specialises in encouraging people to live fulfilled lives throughout retirement - enjoying the good years, living securely as health fails and leaving a legacy for family and community. He is Treasurer and a founder member of Later Life Hub North Yorkshire, which was set up as a single source of information on products and services for people aged 55 and over. Ian and his wife Tess live in rural North Yorkshire and enjoy spending time in the countryside. Their greatest pleasure is being with their growing family, particularly treasuring being part of the development of their young grandchildren.

Jordan Reid

Jordan is a highly qualified Financial Planner who joined Serenity in January 2022. He has experience advising a wide range of private clients, from ex-footballers, directors and business owners to independently wealthy client families. His goals are for his clients to live without worrying about money so they can get on with what is most important. He works to become a trusted partner, there to help clients through the difficult times and appreciate the good. Jordan has qualified as a Chartered & Certified Financial Planner, the highest-level financial planning qualification in the UK. Jordan lives in Birmingham. He is a keen golfer and a member of his local golf club. He enjoys playing and watching football, reading books and walking his springer spaniel, Millie.

Lauren Oakley-Rutherford

Lauren is one of our Client Relationship Managers and assists various advisers with their administrative and report writing work, as well as always being on hand to assis their clients. Lauren is currently living in the beautiful Georgian town of Stmford with her husband and their exuberant black and white Cocker Spaniel named Brie. Lauren is very fond of travelling and loves to have staycations, holidays or city breaks booked to look forward to throughout the year. She currently has two very exciting upcoming trips to Malta and Thailand! Alongside her role, Lauren has been enrolled in a Level 4 Paraplanning Apprenticeship and is currently undertaking various exams and pieces of coursework to become qualified; as well as various assessments to continue her professional development. This course has seen Lauren come on leaps and bounds in her confidence and technical knowledge. We're very much looking forward to seeing where it will take her financial services career in the future. Stephen has over 26 years' experience in financial planning. A firm believer in the power of cashflow modelling, tailored with ongoing relationship financial planning. His passion is helping clients understand what is enough and enabling them to live the life they want. Your financial plan will be personal to you, your goals, and dreams. Stephen will help you along your journey with the discipline to see it through. Born in Norwich, Stephen and his wife Alison live in rural Suffolk with their two children, two dogs and two chickens, enjoying all aspects of country living. He is an active member in his local community taking roles in the Parish Council - establishing both the Neighbourhood Plan and the Quiet Lanes initiative; and Chair of Governors at his children's Primary school - successfully navigating a restructure and joining a Multi Academy Trust to ensure the school survives to celebrate its 150th anniversary. Now an occasional cyclist and runner, he has completed numerous half and marathons - his longest being 50 miles along the Peddars Way; he focuses on keeping fit and organising the Strength & Conditioning training for his son's rugby team.

Sue Thompson

As one of our Client Relationship Managers, Sue takes care of our internal processes and procedures to ensure everything is running as smoothly as possible. Sue looks after our back-office systems, inputting client information and ensuring everything is up to date. She also manages fee payments and the design of our internal documentation. Outside work, Sue loves to spend time with her daughter and meet up with friends for dinner. Her hobbies include gardening, reading and sewing. She's also particularly adept at making home furnishings, and often crafts curtains, roman blinds and cushions.
