Debbie is a valuable member for 20+ years, with experience in hospitality, tourism, and customer care. She has earned Newlands national recognition for her sustainable efforts and successfully manages Keswick Climbing Wall. We look forward to her future contributions.

Emily started with us in 2023 as a General Assistant and has quickly became a essential part of our Team. Being a local girl from Keswick she knows the area like the back of her hand and was eager to learn as much as possible about the business. From taking bookings to running Kids Hours, her days are always busy.
Gayle worked as a Domestic Assistant at Newlands in 2001 and 2002, before qualifying as a Nurse. She became director of Newlands in 2013 and now works both at Newlands and as a Nurse Practitioner at the local hospital.

Iain joined the team in 2000 as an instructor and became Centre Director in 2013. Iain is responsible for all aspects of the activities, Instructors, kit and training and also the day to day running of the centre. The consistent high quality of our activities and instructors is due to Iain's dedication and diligence.

Jack actually grew up at Newlands Adventure Centre and after travelling the world for 5 years, has returned to work for us! Gaining valuable experience from working as a Cave Guide in New Zealand to helping run and manage a tour company in Paris, Jack is ideally placed to tackle most jobs at the Centre .
Jack has worked for Newlands since 2019 and has been in the industry all his working life so far! His biggest passion is climbing, so you can always find him at a local crag or setting routes in the Climbing Wall. Jack is always up for a challenge, he has recently completed all 214 wainwright routes within 2 years!

Karen Milsom, Associate Director - Employee Engagement, Sustainability and Events, adds: "It was an extremely tough and challenging day, both physically and mentally, but our trekkers supported each other throughout, with lots of laughter, some tears and plenty of snacks to keep our energy up! I've been fortunate enough to take part in our previous challenges and I have to say this one was the hardest but the most rewarding, and an experience that none of us will ever forget! I am immensely proud of all the team who showed grit and determination to support a cause that is close to many of our hearts."

Martin joined our Team in the 2023 Season and became an instant key part to our success. His positive attitude to all tasks and sessions thrown his way make him a fantastic member of our Team. Martin has 10+ years of working in the Outdoors industry.
Chef Paul joined our team in 2006. He delivers fresh, wholesome and delicious meals for any occasion - from week-long school parties to wedding dinners. Our guests can't seem to get enough of his food, giving him 10/10 weekly rating. We highly appreciate his contributions as our guests leave satisfied and happy after eating his food.
Rik is an experienced and driven member of the Newlands team since 1990. He has a great work ethic and is dedicated to company standards, making him an industry leader. We are proud to have him on our team and confident he will help us reach new heights.
