APTECO - Key Persons
Adam Robertson has been a Senior Developer at Apteco since 2004 & has at one time or another led development on Apteco FastStats®, FastStats® Excelsior, Apteco PeopleStage™ & the Apteco FastStats® API. He has in-depth knowledge of the Microsoft development ecosystem & has a keen interest in developing testing tools.

Alex is a huge Heavy Metal fan and vocalist in his own band, however his day job providing technical support to Apteco's partners is generally a quieter gig. Before joining Apteco in 2015, Alex spent six years as a Support Analyst supporting hardware and various software applications.
A former DBA and developer, Andy joined Apteco in 2005 and now leads the Connect team as Product Manager. When not supporting partners with fresh Apteco marketing software installations, he's building proof of concept systems and working as part of the support team.
Andy joined Apteco as a Developer in 2019. As part of the Connect team, he is helping to move Apteco marketing software onto the web. A regular attendee of the work social bike rides and from his collection, Andy could use a different bike to get to the office for each day of the week.
Arun started working within the Software Development team in 2016 where he joined the company through an Apprenticeship scheme. During this time he was focused on learning how to code and developing features for Apteco FastStats. Arun is now a full integrated member of the Software Development team and works primarily on Apteco Orbit. Outside of Apteco, Arun is a keen Guitar player.
Chris joined Apteco in 2022 and is responsible for curating and publishing Apteco Help content in its various forms. Prior to Apteco, Chris was an English MA graduate, taught English at many different levels, and has now moved permanently into the field of Technical Communication.
Chris spends his time developing new analytics features for Apteco FastStats®. You may also meet him during Apteco training sessions. In addition to this, Chris spends his time building FastStats systems from publicly available data, searching for insights and writing for the Apteco Blog series.
Clive has been a part of the support team at Apteco since September 2013. He has worked within the marketing sector for 25 years & has wide experience of data manipulation whilst using & supporting various software applications.

Craig joined Apteco in 1997 as an analyst programmer. He moved into a technical support role in 2000 and has been manager of the Technical Services team since 2006. Orbit is the 6th generation of the product that he has helped support.
Diane is responsible for overseeing and delivering user training and co-ordinating the Apteco User Research and Usability Testing Programme. Before joining Apteco in 2012, she spent 10 years lecturing in Further Education. Diane has worked in a variety of customer-oriented environments, giving her a great balance of business and educational experience.
George joined Apteco in 2020 as CTO, and has 30+ years of experience in software development, both in management and developer roles, with organisations from SMEs to global multinationals. With his experience of growing software businesses worldwide, George will be helping to bring even greater value to Apteco operations, our partners and users.

With over 20 years of experience working in education, Iain is a skilled trainer who has spent time teaching both children and adults. You are likely to meet Iain on Apteco FastStats® and Modelling training courses, or out hill walking as he loves the great outdoors.
Jack joined Apteco in 2022, before joining he was developing software for the largest restaurant chain in the world. Jack specialises in web development with a focus on the front end. Jack's interests outside of the office are Video Games and Basketball.
Jackie's team is the first point of call for all licensing enquiries, training bookings & accounts payable. An experienced administrator & office manager for more than 20 years, Jackie joined in 2004 to ensure the Apteco office runs smoothly.
Founder and MD of Apteco, James is a technologist at heart, now responsible for ensuring we meet our clients' needs with powerful software and great services. Outside Apteco, James is a squash player, private pilot and single speed cyclist.
James joined Apteco in 2021 as a support consultant. He provides support for Apteco's biggest software partner on their enterprise system. Outside of work, James likes driving his Caterham 7 and editing videos for his YouTube channel.

Janis joined Apteco in 2022 as the first Product Designer to create user-friendly, accessible, and visually appealing interfaces for the Orbit platform. Before joining the Apteco team, Janis worked at design and development agencies crafting content for brands and design experiences through UX and UI. Outside of work, Janis enjoys capturing every magical moment of daily life with his sons and beloved ones with his camera.
Jill joined Apteco in 2021 and supports the administration team in issuing licences and accounts payable. She also has responsibility for Apteco's HR Administration and Health & Safety. When not at work, Jill enjoys a spot of Regency Country dancing.

Joe joined Apteco in 2021 as a Software Development Engineer in Test, working as the tester for the campaign team for Apteco. Joe loves a good film and visits the cinema regularly. When he's not in the cinema, hes out and about walking his dog.

Joe joined the Apteco marketing team in 2021. A large part of Joe's role involves coordinating regular partner and customer communications, events and exhibitions, monthly marketing reports and website development. Outside of work, Joe spends his weekends either watching rugby or finding a new coffee shop.
Jon joined Apteco in 2018. Previously Jon was a core member of a full stack, agile development team at one of the UK's largest retailers. Jon specialises in web and mobile based solutions, with an emphasis on continuous delivery, unlocking value at the earliest available opportunity.

Katie joined Apteco in 2017 and has worked in design and marketing for over 20 years. Before starting at Apteco, Katie refined her skills in advertising agencies and large global corporates. In 2012 she started her own marketing consultancy which she ran until she moved to the UK. Katie is passionate about design and branding.

Lee joined Apteco in 2007 as a consultant. He provides technical support and guidance for Apteco's biggest software partner on their enterprise solution. A B2B data specialist, Lee has worked in the industry since 1996.
Liz joined the Consultancy Team in 2018. Liz is both CIM and IDM qualified in Direct and Digital marketing and with over 12 years' experience within data, marketing and campaigning across financial services, utilities, retail and leisure and B2B.
In 2013 Martin joined Apteco's consultancy team to assist with the more comprehensive & multifaceted Apteco PeopleStage™ installations. He previously worked for an international membership organisation leading the IT database team. On Saturday mornings Martin can be found at the local parkrun.
Martin joined Apteco as Partnership Manager in 2023 bringing with him over 25 years of Customer Success and Account Management experience in the Data Services industry. His extensive experience includes working with a former partner of Apteco supporting clients using Apteco products. Outside of work, he loves a quiz.
Matt is an integral part of the original Apteco team, joining as IT Manager in 1994, managing the IT and facilities requirements of the business. Outside of work, Matt enjoys cycling.

Matt offers technical and user support to our global partner channel on a daily basis. A devoted father, Matt joined Apteco Ltd in 2010 before moving to Alberta, Canada with his family, to join Apteco Canada Inc in 2023, where he uses his technical knowledge to help Apteco users around the globe, as well as those in North America.
Since 2007 Mel has led the Apteco marketing team in driving the Apteco brand. She has been a B2B marketer in the data and marketing technology sectors for over 20 years. Her aim is to ensure that Apteco is a trusted and respected brand that is the first point of call for all data driven marketers.

Melody was originally an apprentice but later joined Apteco in 2020. Before joining the testing team at Apteco, Melody also spent time during her apprenticeship with the developers learning about coding. Outside of work, Melody's favourite pastime is travel, whether around the UK or far flung places.
Michaela is responsible for the administration of Apteco's training courses and will most likely be the person transferring your call when you phone Apteco. A proud mother and grandmother, Michaela also takes care of all your urgent licensing and upgrade requests.
Mo joined Apteco in 2018. He has experience in manufacturing, IT and education and has worked in the private and public sector. With over 10 years' experience in the IT industry, Mo now delivers training on Apteco marketing software.

Nick joined Apteco in 2019 as IT Technician, working alongside Matt. As well as the front of house support, Nick grabs any opportunity to get stuck into the back-office subjects.

Olivia joined the Apteco team in 2022 to boost the Apteco brand, improve the Search Engine Optimisation, create engaging content to push the Apteco platforms as well as sponsored advertisements. Olivia is CIM qualified and has seven years of marketing experience working in a variety of sectors.
Paul joined Apteco in 2022 and works predominantly on the core FastStats Query Engine and has worked in software development since the 1980's mainly writing low level code. Outside of Apteco, Paul enjoys photography.
Paul joined Apteco in 2018. He has a wealth of experience in developing enterprise scale web systems. Paul will be a key member of the development team as Apteco look to develop their web based products over the coming years.
Pete is a seasoned developer who has been a fundamental part of Apteco since the early years. In the last 15 years he has found himself specialising in the development of user interfaces, with usability & the user centred design process among his favourite topics.
Ray is leading the development of AI techniques within Apteco. He is extending and automating the statistical techniques within FastStats® which he developed in his early days at Apteco. This "Apteco Intelligence" will then drive campaign optimisation in PeopleStage and deliver insight in the Orbit online platform.
Rhys joined the Apteco documentation team in 2022. He is responsible for curating and publishing Apteco help content. With a background as an English language teacher and senior copywriter, Rhys has now permanently transitioned into Technical Communication. When he's not writing, he enjoys traveling, cooking, and watching plenty of rugby.
Rich joined Apteco in 2006 & was tasked with improving the support call process. This resulted in an email logging, searchable system to increase efficiency and response times. You may meet him during a technical installation, project or consultancy session.
Now part of the development team working on PeopleStage, digital integrations & usability projects, Robin initially joined Apteco in 2011 as a Support Consultant. A former IT leader in the public sector he is a family man & keen football supporter.
Sam joined Apteco in 2013 as an Apprentice and is now a fully-fledged member of the PeopleStage development team. Having worked on every facet of development from UI and UX to Service level optimisation, Sam has gained an extensive knowledge of the PeopleStage workflow and testing cycle.
Sarah joined the Apteco Business Development team in 2019, to help support our partners. She has worked in the marketing data and software industry for over 20 years and has experience of using Apteco software as an end user in the charity sector, as well as working in the Marketing Services division of a global professional services company.
Since 2014, Sarah has played a key role in the integration developments with social media, CRM, push notifications, ESPs and the Apteco conference API / App admin. She is a forward and interdisciplinary thinker and a mum of 3; has worked in the insurance, manufacturing, education and banking sectors prior to joining Apteco. She speaks English, Mandarin Chinese and Taiwanese.

Known to everyone as Fletch, Simon is an experienced business manager, a data driven marketing advocate & IDM graduate in Direct & Digital Marketing. We have recruited over 70 partners since he joined Apteco in 2002.
A founding director and head of the development team, Simon coded the first generation of the Apteco Marketing Suite™ & developed them into today's leading edge applications. In his spare time he once renovated an old primary school into a house & now runs a farm.
Stuart's responsibilities are primarily testing FastStats® for defects or UI feedback. Moving from the video games industry where he tested and developed games for over 8 years, he is now responsible for improving Apteco's testing methods.
Tim started at Apteco as a developer in 2002 and has worked on a wide range of Apteco software components. Tim is currently a member of the Apteco High Performance Team where his primary focus is on improving the speed and power of Apteco's technology.
Tim joined Apteco in 2017 having graduated with a maths degree. With an initial focus on Apteco's Python integration, he has also worked on new analytics features for Apteco Faststats®, and is generally in his element whenever data or algorithms are involved.
Tim has fifteen years' experience using FastStats and the Apteco software. His skills include designing, building and implementing FastStats systems, as well as producing analysis and insight from clients' own data using FastStats and Excelsior. Tim is a certified trainer in the FastStats Base and Modelling modules and can offer bespoke training using client data.
Tom has been a Developer at Apteco since 2021 having graduated with a degree in maths. Initially focusing on Apteco's Python integration, he now works primarily on Apteco Orbit. In his spare time you can probably find him at one of the local disc golf courses.
Victoria has over eight years' Apteco marketing software experience and offers consultancy for all aspects within Apteco FastStats® and FastStats Excelsior™ - from practical guidance on best practice to developing a reporting suite. Victoria has extensive excel and visual basic skills to further enhance your Apteco software solution.

Vinny joined Apteco in 2021 and is responsible for further development of leads into fully-fledged opportunities and thus cultivate business relationships with potential customers and partners.
Will joined the Apteco development team in 2022 and his role involves creating and updating various user interfaces inside the Orbit application. Alongside this, he spends time learning about other area of software development ranging from API's, databases, data structures, services and more. When he isn't coding, he enjoys hiking, running and cycling in the Peak District amongst other scenic locations.
