With over 20 years' experience working in the cultural heritage sector, we draw upon a wide range of expertise - from planning advice to academic research and community projects, we can help you through the whole process... Established by Newcastle University in the 1980s as a commercial wing of the Department of Archaeology, The Archaeological Practice became a limited company in 2001. We are happy to provide field-school placements for students of archaeology from any university... Additionally, we specialise in producing Historic Village Atlases, working closely with local history & archaeology groups to write bids for and working on multi-disciplinary projects. This work with village communities has resulted in a total of 46 Historic Village Atlases produced since 2003.
