In 2017, Andrew transitioned to the field of Audit at Capcon Ltd, leveraging his knowledge to assist clients in optimising operations and minimising losses. His exceptional interpersonal and communication skills led to his promotion as Senior Auditor in 2022. Andrew not only conducts audits but also manages client relationships ensuring satisfaction and fostering strong partnerships. Recently, in April 2023, Andrew further advanced his career as he was promoted to Operations Support Manager at Capcon. In this role, he oversees process management and provides guidance to trainees, demonstrating his effective leadership and mentorship qualities. Andrew's philanthropic endeavours are also noteworthy. Lee Bowen

This includes real-time stock control, training programmes for management skills, customer insights for brand protection, and risk assessments. He also works with Capcon Argen, providing intelligence, protection, and security services to multinational corporations, assisting them in expanding geographically while mitigating risks. Lee's career began in an IT Department and later moved to the hospitality industry as an induction and development coordinator, refining his team-building and operational management skills. Outside of work, Lee contributes to his community and education sector as a Governor for Moat Hall Academy and a Trustee for Future Generation Trust overseeing five academies. He shapes policies, resource allocation, curriculum development, and performance evaluation.

Marcus Jones - Managing Director

Mike Porteous

Mike rapidly progressed to Duty Manager in an independent hotel early in his career before broadening his management experience in a multi-operation site with Everards Brewery in Leicester. He subsequently joined their internal audit team. His journey with Capcon started in 1990 as a Stock Auditor. He developed enthusiasm and expertise in the systemic approach to audit, integrating emerging Epos technologies, and harnessing the resultant explosion of data. He then spent many years working as Head of IT, developing and supporting Capcon's bespoke software. The synergy of practical experience and technical understanding is the bedrock that makes Capcon's reporting and control portfolio second to none. As Head of Operations & Resource, Mike passionately believes that the collective expertise of our team is what makes Capcon the obvious choice when it comes to managing risk within any hospitality venture. Recently relocated to South Wales, Mike has rekindled a love of playing tennis (badly). Besides watching his children develop into inspiring people, he lists his proudest achievement as becoming a qualified cellar manager with Eldridge Pope while still at university.

Nick Gay
