Arthur Knapp

Arthur joined us in a trainee position and has very quickly proven to be a real asset to the sales team. His maturity and desire to learn has ensured he has progressed from basic office duties, to being a key part of Burgess & Co. His key role in the company is registering buyers, matching them to properties and then negotiating offers with clients to a satisfactory outcome. His friendly and likeable personality is always well received by our clients and purchasers alike and we regularly have positive feedback from our clients to say how professional he is and what a great service he has provided. He is an integral part of the team and we are all very proud to have Arthur working alongside us. He is looking forward to a bright future with Burgess & Co.

Ben Davey

Ben has over 20years experience in the industry and has gained a wealth of knowledge in all areas of estate agency. His specific forte is his unrivalled understanding of the legal system enabling him to communicate more effectively with solicitors to ensure that sales are progressed in a timely fashion, and with as little stress as possible to our clients. He is usually able to find a solution to most problems that arise, he is able to explain the processes in simple terms to his clients, and buyers alike, and ensures everyone is updated on a regular basis - for which his reputation proceeds him. Ben also assists with valuations and maintains up to date information on the economy, mortgage criteria and any changes that may affect the local housing market so he ensures that the team at Burgess & Co can give best advice to clients at all times. He is delighted to be working alongside Paul and the team and looking forward to all that the future brings for Burgess & Co.

Debbie Wallace

Debbie has a wealth of knowledge and is an experienced property administrator having been in the industry for 18 years. She is extremely well organised with a high level of attention to detail and supports the team with the day to day running of the company. She has the main responsibility for the preparation of client's property particulars to ensure they meet or exceed our clients' high expectations. She is an integral part of the company and has a proactive approach to anything she does and is always happy to help anyone where she can. We are proud to have Debbie as part of our growing team.

Debbie Welsh

Job Titles:
  • Secretary
Debbie's role varies enormously on a day to day basis but she is mainly responsible for the preparation of property details together with our advertising presence and property listings in print and online. She has superb organisational skills and her accuracy in her work makes her an integral part of our administrative team. She is well versed in the admin side of the property market and her huge contribution ‘behind the scenes' helps set our agency apart. Although Debbie can be found in the back office the majority of time, along with Julie, she is definitely the cogs behind our wheels.

Erika Penniket

Erika has been with Burgess & Co for over a decade. She is based in our Little Common office where she oversees the majority of our sales progression. Erika was trained by, and has worked alongside Siobhan for many years, and has an excellent reputation with solicitors and clients alike. Her ability to problem solve and deal with the most difficult and sometimes sensitive issues in the chain is second to none. Erika takes great pride in the service and support she provides to our clients once a sale has been agreed, and the wonderful testimonials we receive regularly are so deserved.

Jess Daw-Collins

Jess is the newest member of the Burgess & Co team. She has very quickly established herself as an integral part of this hard-working team and is very keen to continue to learn all aspects of estate agency and currently conducts a lot of the viewings which ensures she gets to see a wide variety of property types. She has very good interpersonal skills with applicants and clients and although the youngest member of the team she has great maturity. Jess also arranges and conducts valuations and obtains feedback from the viewings, so our clients are fully updated. She has a bright future with Burgess & Co. Jess is the newest addition to our Lettings team bringing her previous sales experience and enthusiastic approach to her role as a Lettings Negotiator. Her attention to detail and level of professionalism is highly valued in the office and when meeting clients and conducting viewings on behalf of our landlords.

Julie Burgess

Julie has over 30 years' experience as an estate agent and established Burgess & Co in 2001.

Julie Farnham

Julie plays a key role within Burgess & Co and is the backbone of the company. She has a wealth of previous managerial office experience, and her high level of attention to detail and great organisational skills, makes her a key asset to the team. Her calm and gentle manner ensures that even on the busiest of days all tasks are carried out with precision and tenacity. Her ability to turn her hand to even the most difficult and varied of tasks ensures that no day is ever the same for her. She is proficient in all that she does and looks forward to the future development of Burgess & Co.

Liam Foster

Liam has been in Estate Agency for many years and has built up a high level of knowledge of the industry enabling him to liaise effectively with both clients and buyers alike. He strives to achieve the best possible results for our clients to ensure they get the best price possible for their property. He always has a positive, proactive and dynamic approach to his role in the company and always effectively negotiates any offers with total clarity for all involved. We are delighted that Liam is part of our team and I'm sure he will go from strength to strength as he enhances his knowledge further with us.

Michael Toomey

With prior experience working for a corporate agent in Bexhill, Michael decided to make the move to an independent agency and joined our team to further his career in property sales and marketing. Michael has flourished in his role as negotiator at Burgess & Co. His attention to detail and excellent personal skills ensure that his buyers are always kept thoroughly up to date on all new properties and Michael has many repeat clients that rely on him to keep them fully up to date on the ever-changing property market. Michael is excellent at spotting potential in matching clients with suitable properties and is very well respected amongst his peers.

Natasha Ray

Natasha manages our lettings and property management service from Burgess & Co's Little Common offices. Her background in the property market is wide-ranging and includes experience as a sales negotiator and also in sales progression. Now focused on lettings, Natasha holds the ARLA Certificate in Residential Letting & Property Management. She has a determined attitude, extensive local knowledge and extends an excellent service for landlords and tenants.

Paul Rendle - Managing Director

Based in our Bexhill office, he is responsible for maintaining the high level of service our clients are accustomed to, and ensuring we remain market leaders within the town and surrounding area.
