CN4C - Key Persons
I'm here on the Kickstarter programme and prior to this, I worked in care homes both community and private ones. I completed my A-Levels in Psychology and Sociology and hope to attend university soon. I love meeting new people daily.
I started at CN4C over a year ago and I'm really enjoying it as I'm passionate about helping others in need. I like spending my free time with family and have a daughter who loves to build towers out of Lego and push them over, going for walks and splashing in muddy puddles. Contact me

Prior to working for CN4C I have worked in Adult Social Care for 15 years, I have a degree in Psychology and an MSc in Autism and Related Conditions, I love working directly with people and supporting them to make a difference to their lives. In my spare time I can generally be found outside with friends and family. I love to be creative, going on walks and swimming in the sea!
I am very interested in Community Wealth building and thinking about how this approach could benefit Cornwall. In my free time I love reading, surfing and being in nature. In my role I aim to share these passions with the people I work with at CN4C.

During fifteen years in Education working with young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health challenges, I have developed personal interests in Neurodiversity, Addiction and Trauma Informed Practice. My passion lies in building relationships with people and supporting them whilst utilising Blue - Green space and creativity to enable them to make positive steps forward in life.
I'm an autistic who is a parent to austistic kids. When I was younger I struggled to fit in as I always felt different and when my son was diagnosed with autism 16 years ago, that's when the pieces finally fitted together - I knew what my difference was. I'm a Psychologist with over 25 years experience in research and teaching at all levels in a variety of subjects. I'm also an animal lover and specialised in Animal Behaviour and Psychology at PhD level.

I've worked for CN4C since last summer as a Change Coach based in St Austell. Before joining CN4C I spent a couple of years as a Support Worker within Adult Health and Social Care, but spent many, many years in early years childcare and education.
Having worked with charities throughout my career, I love that I can use my skills and experience to support CN4C's important work helping others.
I've worked in Women's Refuge and as a First Responder for the South West Ambulance Service. Academically, I was a late achiever but gained a Community, Management and Social Enterprise degree and a higher education teaching qualification. I have a passion for music, writing songs and playing my very worn acoustic guitar.

I have worked in a variety of education settings and the best thing about Community Education is how it supports individuals to realise they can achieve their goals. I enjoy being in nature and am studying for an MSc in Sustainability and Behaviour Change in my spare time.

When I got my first job with CN4C, I was homeless. 19 years later and I am still here proud to be able to be useful to my community and help those in need. My hobbies are wild swimming, food and dancing. I am a grandmother to two beautiful girls Lily and Isabella.

I have always worked with people, initially as a hairdresser, and for over 25 years, in inclusion, engagement and vocational training. My role in Social Prescribing is all about what matters to people, and I am privileged to be a small part of helping address health inequalities in West Cornwall.
I work with the Learning and Resources team and my interests are walking, yoga and the natural environment.

I live in Newquay and just love being near the sea. My favourite part of the job is to help people achieve their potential and goals. I love nothing more than spending my free time with my family and friends and walking with my four-legged girl Elsie (my beautiful black lab).
I am the Community Grower for CN4C and I run the Community allotments at Pengegon and St Austell. I also teach the Get Growing course. I have an RHS qualification and love spending time outside.

Before joining CN4C, in my other work in art, photography, and theatre I've always been able to help people get noticed and make themselves seen. I wanted to adapt these skills further and continue my learning in a marketing apprenticeship.

I am a qualified children and young people's mental health practitioner. My previous job was in education supporting young people with their social, emotional and mental health, until recently joining CN4C.
I have a passion for helping people to reach their full potential and I am excited to be part of the CN4C team. Outside of work I spend most of my time in the sea, exploring hidden coves and secret rock pools. I also love dancing, reading, and playing my saxophone.
I have a passion for promoting inclusion, fighting stigmas, and ensuring that individuals are supported to achieve their goals. I am a young person's mental health Champion and Dyslexia Advocate. I have a background in secondary education and SEN, and I am due to start my teacher training in September. Alongside the TOAST project I work for COMPASS- helping young people to find direction in their lives with social, education and employment opportunities. I started off as a volunteer with CN4C in 2014, and as of January 2021 I am now employed as a Family Support/Community worker. My own family has grown up utilising CN4C and what it has to offer and I love being able to give back.

I've been delivering educational opportunities for adults and young people since 2000 and am particularly interested in access to Higher Education. My family are foster carers and we're often called upon to advocate for the rights of looked-after children. I'm also a Kernewek (Cornish)-speaker.

I've run some fairly large charities, a social enterprise development agency and worked as a freelance business consultant. I really enjoy bringing my experience and expertise to work with people in our communities and knowing that I played a small part in their success.

Trained in Advice & Guidance level 4, I provide individuals with support in overcoming barriers to enhance their employability and have many years' experience supporting individuals and businesses across Cornwall. My spare time is spent growing organic veg, crafting and walking my Golden Retrievers.
I'm responsible for the smooth running of the Positive People project and supporting people to achieve their goals. I originally trained as a primary school teacher and have experience teaching at all levels of education. I first came to CN4C on secondment in 2014, but liked it so much I asked to stay!

I am a community artist and activity coordinator working with families and young people. I run a circus school and home educate my own children. My passions include live music, reading and swimming as well as travel when I get the opportunity.

Before CN4C, I worked across different areas in education for many years, from teaching English in Spain to volunteering in China, Morocco, and Romania and managing an online teaching company for 4 years.

In my role, I work closely with people to help them get past the barriers that mental ill health cause, I also run activities and workshops to promote positive change, helping people get to where they want to be. I am a Coaching Psychologist and am passionate about helping the community. I am also a Firefighter for Cornwall Fire and Rescue, and I am a passionate surfer and ultra-marathon runner.
I'm Simon, I started volunteering with CN4C in September 2018 on Crisis at the Elms. I'm now a full time Social Prescriber in the Camborne, Pool and Redruth areas as part of Carn-to-Coast surgeries. I'm passionate about music and my hobby is collecting vinyl records. Contact me
I've worked at CN4C since 2017. Resources Director, I oversee HR, all of our other resources and project administration. I love baking, decorating and eating(!) cakes.
I have worked in education for over thirty five years - in primary and secondary schools and now at CN4C. Throughout these years I have enjoyed a variety of sports and Cornwall's outdoors. Contact me
Tarn is the CEO at Cornwall Neighbourhoods for Change and has been since 2006. Tarn is passionate about getting equality for everyone and takes the lead on the co-design work that CN4C undertakes.
My enjoyment of food and travel means I have worked in ten other countries- enjoying the experience of trying different foods and cuisines- some of the influences I bring to my cooking courses at CN4C.
I am patient and encouraging to my students as I understand it is not easy sometimes to master new skills, so we go at a pace that suits us. I have been working in libraries and education for more than twenty years and teaching is something I really enjoy. I grew up in Cornwall and love nature.
