He served as a director of the AIM VCT 2 from 2002 until 2007. In 2011, WdB was acquired by Evolution Securities and subsequently by Investec. He left his position as senior investment director in June 2016 after five years under the Investec umbrella, joining Hobart Capital Markets LLP. Bob was a founder director of Halkin Services from 2002 and enriched us with his enthusiasm, experience, wit and innumerable corporate and financial market connections. Bob introduced the Halkin network to dozens of proprietors and senior executives in the fields of energy, mining and technology, who accepted his invitations to speak at our regular lunches and dinners.
