Angela Povah

I started my career as a nurse at Warrington Hospital in 1969 and went on to do my state registered nursing qualification for two years. I joined SOS Homecare as a director in July 2005 and proceeded to undertake training and qualifications in care. I have obtained my Registered Managers Award, my advanced certificate in Health and Safety and my NVQ 4 in health and social care. I thoroughly enjoy my work and I find total job satisfaction in the care SOS Homecare provides for the community.

Charlotte Leigh

I started working for SOS Homecare in 2019 as a Care Worker. I then became a Senior Care Worker and was then given the opportunity to become a Care Coordinator. I love working with the team in the office and strive to ensure that we provide a high quality service to all of our clients. I look forward to what the future holds for my career at SOS Homecare.

Charlotte Taylor

I first started working in Care in 2012 when I did a Level 2 Business Admin apprenticeship and continued to complete my Level 3. I then came across to work for Clece Care in 2015 as a recruitment manager, managing the recruitment for the north of England. Having transferred to SOS Homecare in September 2016, I have been promoted to HR manager, based in the North West managing the companys' recruitment and HR function so we can grow and develop. In January 2022, I was promoted to Director of Peoples Services.

Cheryl Ockerby

Before starting at SOS Homecare my experience was predminantly in the fruit and veg wholesale sector. It is very different to what I was used to, but I think I have settled into my role really well. I love working in the care sector. I have now been here for a couple of years, and feel like I have fitted in well as part of the team and get on well with all the staff.

I am responsible for bringing in new business and developing new links within the social care sector. I have previously worked overseeing the day to day care Management of contracts, ensuring the service is managed in line with CQC requirements. I have worked within the care sector for over 18 years in all aspects of domiciliary care services and supported living.

Jayne Voss - COO

I have worked in Health and Social care for about 15years, in various roles, starting as a Care Assistant, Care Coordinator, Managing Supported Living Services, Quality Manager and Registered Manager. I came to work for SOS Homecare in January 2023, as a Registered Manager opening a new branch in Warrington. We have worked hard to ensure all of our clients receive the best care. Everyone at SOS Homecare has been very supportive and welcoming and I am looking forward to a long and happy future with SOS Homecare.

Jodie Swift

I joined SOS Homecare in 2013 as a care worker in Crewe, I have since progressed onto Senior Carer in 2021 and now Care Coordinator in 2022. I have accrued a wealth of experience in the Care Industry working in it since 2001, I find it to be the most rewarding job anyone can do. I have achieve my NVQ level 2 and 3 in Health and Social care. I have worked alongside the Registered Manager of Crewe for over 10 years. I am lucky to be part of an inclusive team which have been nothing but supportive in my personal development and I can't wait to see what more I can do within the company.

Julie Jennings

I first started in care in 1990 and I trained to become a senior and help to grow the service. I also became a Care Coordinator and passed my NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care. During my time in care I had three boys, I left the care sector in 2006 to become a manager of a petrol station and shop. I have worked in retail for the last 16 years as a manager. I have always wanted to come back into care and when the chance came up I took it. I am enjoying my time with SOS Homecare so far and look forward to what is in store.

Kelly Benyon

I joined SOS Homecare in June 2020, I began my career in the care sector 17 years ago as a Health Care Assistant and progressed to Team Leader. I have owrked in many different environments from residential, nursing and extra care schemes. In my 17 years of working in the care sector, I have achieved my NVQ level 2 & 3 in Health and Social Care but needed a new challenge. I have worked within HR now for over a year and absolutely love my new role and couldn't feel any more supported and appreciated by SOS.

I joined SOS Homecare in February 2016, in the role of Accounts Assistant. Prior to this I worked for another care provider from September 2014 as their Compliance Administrator. Whilst working there I had some involvement within finance and really enjoyed learning the role. Therefore I felt it was the right time to have a change in career.

My background is accountancy and property management having left Sheffield Hallam University with a Ba Hons. in Accountancy & Finance. In 2001 I acquired a 50% stake in SOS Homecare Ltd and in 2005 I bought the other 50%. Since then I have acheived my NVQ Level 4 Registered Manager Award, my NVQ Level 4 in Health & Social Care and my teaching qualifications. I am passionate about SOS Homecare delivering the very best standards of care to our service users.

Ross Taylor

In December 2022 I had the pleasure of joining SOS Homecare as a Training Manager. Through my career I have supported individuals in various settings, including a medium secure mental health hospital, services users with autism in the community and worked in a childrens hospice. These types of roles have given me invaluable experience, as has my degree in Psychology. In a previous role, I became Team Leader, which involved taking on the training responsibilities from scratch, so I had to develop the training around the current service users, identify training needs and implementing strategies that worked for that specific service. I love being a part of SOS, supporting our existing staff with any training requirements and needs, whilst seeking and developing opportunities for continuous progression. Meeting everyone that starts new to SOS Homecare, supporting them through their inductions, and into their careers is a pleasure, and responsibility I am proud to have.

I joined SOS Homecare in August 2020 to manage a domiciliary community care service here in Crewe. I began my career in Health and Social Care in 2002 as a day care assistant and progressed through the roles of Carer, Senior Carer, Care Team Leader, Deputy Care Maanger, Extra Care Branch Manager to now successfully achieving my goal and becoming a Registered Care Manager. I have achieve numerous qualifications from NVQ 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care, NVQ level 5 in Leadership & Management in Health and Social Care Services for Children, Young People and Adult Management. The health and social care industry has been a huge part of my life and I could not be happier in this field. I'm lucky enough to work within a very supportive and welcoming organisation that is SOS Homecare and I get to continue and develop professionally whilst doing the job I love.

Tracy Heathcote
