Nicholas Gray with fellow Director, Stuart Chandler, formed insurance brokers, Riskworks in 2001. Nick is the third generation of Grays' in the insurance broking business. Both his grandfather, John Gray and father, Sydney Gray, were members of North West Brokers, William Heap & Son, established in 1878 before being acquired by Sedgwick in the 1970s.
William Heap was highly respected by both the insurance world and clients, because of their professionalism, technical expertise and risk management services, which were very important in those days, as they are today. The client make up was made up of textiles, engineering, paper and printing, bleaching and dyeing rather different landscape to the digital and high tech world today
