Adam Britton

Job Titles:

Adam works as Senior Quantity Surveyor and has vast experience of working on commercial and residential building projects spanning over almost 10 years. Adam's job role involves Senior Quantity Surveyor tendering and general Quantity Surveyor duties on live projects. In his spare time Adam enjoys playing golf, taking long walks with his fiancée and dog and as a season ticket holder, regularly attends match games for his favourite team West Bromwich Albion.

Andy Gallis

Andy works at Hindley Contractors as manager of our finance department and works alongside Ruth in our busy accounts office. Andy oversees all aspects of finances for the company. In his spare time, Andy enjoys spending time with his family and socialising with friends.

Ian Turner

Ian works as Senior Contracts Manager dealing mainly with our Local Authority contracts. Ian's daily duties include the overall management of the social housing side of the business and ensuring productivity and delivery are at the highest standard. In his spare time, Ian enjoys spending quality time with his wife and two children, he also enjoys socialising with friends and family. Ian is a keen Formula One fan and occasionally attends Wolves matches when he can.

Joe Hindley - Managing Director

Joe Hindley started his working career at the grand age of 16 working at Greggs the Bakery before deciding to follow his fathers' footsteps into the construction industry. By the age of 22, Joe was a fully established plumbing engineer and decided it was time to join the family business. From that point on, it was onwards and upwards for Joe, vastly progressing from Contracts Estimator to Contracts Manager and finally becoming a company director in 2019. After becoming a Construction Director, Joe grew the business in size and has seen it become one of the most established household names within the Wolverhampton area. To accommodate the growth of the business, Joe has recruited a strong internal team who all share the same drive and ambition. Joe mainly deals with the commercial to residential, framework agreements, private works, and general day to day business development. During his time at Hindley Contractors Joe has successfully achieved his NVQ Level 6 Diploma in Construction Site Management and has big ambitions in the new year to achieve his NVQ Level 7 Diploma In Construction Senior Management. Following the progression made during his time working at Hindley Contractors, Joe is now pleased to be a shareholder within the company and is now Managing Director alongside Mark Hindley. In his spare time, Joe enjoys engaging in sports activities such as football, boxing and golf. Joe is a keen Wolverhampton Wanderers supporter and regularly attends matches.

Jon Burson

Jon joined our team as an Assistant Site Manager and oversees the day to day running of sites including private extensions, solicitors works and disability adaptions. Jon is keen to progress within the company and has just successfully completed his Site Management Safety Training Scheme qualification. In his spare time, Jon enjoys meeting with friends, watching football and is an avid Wolves fan. Jon is keen on winter sports and has been skiing from a young age.

Mark Hindley

Mark is Managing Director of the company and started his career in the construction industry at the age of 18. Mark learnt all aspects of the trade and soon became a fully qualified plasterer allowing him to start up his own business. As his career progressed over the years, Mark gained the skills, knowledge and experience to create his own business and in 1999, Hindley Contractors Ltd was born. Since then, the business has gone from strength to strength and grown in capacity and thrives to the current day. Mark now passes his skills and experience on to other members of the company and enjoys seeing his team and business progress in the industry. Mark's most recent achievement was graduating and gaining Chartered status within the Charted Institute of Builders (MCIOB) In his spare time, Mark loves to spend time with his granddaughter, family and friends as well as spending time relaxing playing golf (very badly!!). Mark enjoys keeping fit by eating healthy, attending the gym and is a big boxing fan. Mark is probably our biggest Wolves fan and holds a season ticket allowing him to attend the games on a regular basis.

Mark Witton

Mark is our Contracts Manager and oversees our Commercial and Domestic projects. Mark has worked in various facets of the Construction Industry most of his life and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience. In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and family, especially taking long walks and visiting National Trust locations. He plays golf on a regular basis and is a longstanding member of Enville Golf Club.

Rachel Hodkinson

Rachel oversees the administration side of the business. After being in administration for 25+ years, she oversees paperwork to ensure the office runs as smoothly as possible. Rachel also works on the front desk to welcome visitors and deal with any enquiries.

Rob Tranter

Job Titles:
  • Contracts Supervisor
Rob is our Contracts Supervisor at Hindley Contractors and ensures our local authority and private works are running smoothly. Rob also engages with our clients and tenants and monitors health and safety. In his spare time, Rob enjoys spending time with family, socialising and going on holidays away. He particularly enjoys playing golf weekly and is a member at the Astbury. As another keen Wolves supporter, Rob watches the team at both home and away games when he can as he is a season ticket holder.

Ruth Knibbs

Job Titles:
  • Accounts
Ruth works in our accounts department and her main job role includes dealing with invoices, dealing with financial enquiries, keeping financial records updated and preparing reports and reconciling bank statements for the company. Ruth enjoys her role and is a keen team player, always ready to deal with any challenges that come her way. Ruth enjoys spending time with her husband, family and friends in her spare time and often takes trips to other parts of the country to take part in hiking and social events.
