Swaffham & Litcham Home Hospice Support Limited, a limited company and a registered charity, was set up in 1988 because there was little or no palliative care in the immediate local area. We are a non-medical organisation giving free practical and emotional support to patients with cancer and other life threatening illnesses. Our support embraces patients, their families and carers, throughout their journey... We receive referrals from GPs, District Nurses, Macmillan Nurses, other hospices, The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, King's Lynn, Consultants and Discharge Teams, and indeed some patients self-refer having heard about us from their GP surgery or friends and family members. We annually support over two hundred and fifty patients and their families. Our staff is supported by a dedicated team of over fifty volunteers including those on our Management and Fundraising Committees.
