Alice brings a wealth of CSR & ESG knowledge and leadership to LandAid, and has used this to develop our Partnerships programme and raise our income significantly. Alice works closely with Paul and our Board to ensure that LandAid Partnerships and Events strategy is robust and forward thinking. She has a track record of building long-term, mutually beneficial, strategic relationships with our partners and works closely with our partners to align their CSR strategies to LandAid's mission. She joined us from Coram, the children's charity where she was Head of Corporate Partnerships for five years and led the team to success. During that time, she tripled the corporate income, developing creative CSR projects to maximise impact for vulnerable children. Alisa Yakhno

Alisa joined LandAid in October 2023 and works within our National Partnerships Team. Alisa predominantly supports LandAid's partnership with StreetSmart - engaging the hospitality industry across the UK and growing StreetSmart's fundraising campaign to end youth homelessness. Before joining LandAid, Alisa worked in recruitment at DLA Piper and ran her own community project to increase awareness of Ukrainian culture in the UK. Alisa is currently studying for an MA in Philosophy at the University of Buckingham, and outside of work, leads fundraising cultural events in support of Ukraine.

Aliya Jamil

Aliya supports the delivery and development of both LandAid's Pro Bono and Grants Programmes. She assists the Pro Bono team to promote and track the progress of volunteer projects being supported by our network of corporate partners and provides administrative support across the lifecycle of the grants we make to charity projects in support of young people experiencing homelessness. Her role also involves helping to capture and report on the impact of LandAid's work in making a difference to young people and communities in extreme need. Prior to joining LandAid, Aliya has worked for St Mungo's Streetlink programme, offering direct advice and support to people sleeping rough. She also has experience as a Housing Officer at Harrow Council, where she assisted people experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Most recently, Aliya has worked with a mentoring charity to provide services for vulnerable women at risk of social exclusion, including those seeking asylum.

Andy Gulliford - Chairman

Andy Gulliford has been at SEGRO since 2004. He was appointed Chief Operating Officer in November 2011 with responsibility for the Group's operational property teams both in the UK and Continental Europe. He has held roles within the company to include Managing Director, Continental Europe; Director of Corporate Acquisitions and Business Development Director. Prior to joining SEGRO, Andy spent 19 years at Jones Lang LaSalle, where he was European Director for the Company's industrial and logistics business. Andy has been a keen supporter of LandAid for many years. Most recently, Andy braved the ‘Beast from the East' by taking part in LandAid's very first SleepOut helping to smash SEGRO's, and LandAid's, fundraising target. He has also taken part in the LandAid 10K runs and is often leading the fundraising charge at SEGRO - in particular on LandAid Day. Andy joined the charity as a member of the Fundraising Committee in 2014 and became a Trustee in late 2017.

Anne Breen - Chairman

Anne began her real estate career at Standard Life Investments in 1999. She was appointed Head of Real Estate Research & Strategy in 2007 and over her tenure has seen our real estate assets under management quadruple to more than £40bn. Anne has been instrumental in the modernisation of the abrdn real estate business over the last 24yrs, embedding and driving our research driven approach which underpins the overall performance of our underlying funds, the launch of a number of innovative products including our global real estate strategies and UK long income franchise, and the management and development of our world class real estate investment teams. Anne's experience across all real estate asset classes, including debt and indirects, and deep understanding of the role of ESG in real estate investing, has proved essential in her most recent appointment as Global Head of Real Estate where our clients are increasingly aware of the broader benefits of real estate as an asset class. Anne also holds a board position in the Association of Real Estate Funds (AREF) board. She also sits on SLA's Global Inclusion Committee, is a board member of Abrdn Alternative Funds Board (regulated by FCA) and a board member of Abrdn Investments Ireland Limited (regulated by CBI).

Carrie Armstrong

Carrie Armstrong is a Real Estate Partner at Addleshaw Goddard LLP based in Edinburgh. She is a member of the Firm's managing board. She is a dual qualified lawyer and frequently acts and leads on cross border transactions for a range of portfolio clients. Transport, infrastructure, retail and leisure assets and development feature strongly in her practice. Carrie has three very active children aged 13, 15 and 17, so her spare time is mainly spent at the side of cricket, rugby and hockey pitches!

Claire manages LandAid's fundraising function, strengthening and maximising engagement from LandAid's fantastic network of property industry partners. She spent the first six years of her career agency-side in customer insight, working with some of the biggest companies in the FMCG and Energy industries. Since then, Claire has been working in the charity sector to create intelligent and engaging alliances between business and charity, leading teams to win and manage some of the biggest partnerships in the sector. Having personally raised over £3million for the Stroke Association and Prostate Cancer UK, Claire is now very excited to use her expertise and experience to turbo charge LandAid's impact to end youth homelessness.

Colin Busby

Colin is Ryden's Edinburgh Regional Managing Partner and a very experienced real estate and construction professional with over 30 years of commercial property involvement. Prior to joining Ryden, Colin held senior positions within DTZ's Scottish business and UK Project and Building Consultancy team. He has a wide spectrum of experience in commercial building surveying and project management activities, encompassing building refurbishment, new build and professional work on commercial, retail and industrial properties. Colin specialises in occupier related consultancy and project management. Outside work, aside from family time, he tries to get to the beach as much as possible - being a keen windsurfer he can often be found at many of Scotland's windier spots!

Prior to joining LandAid, Daisy worked as a Corporate Partnerships Manager in two well-known health charities for 6 years. Here, she witnessed the power of corporate giving and the life-changing initiatives that generous donations can fund. Damian Wild - Chairman

Damian has spent more than 25 years working in business information, predominantly as a journalist and editor, and more recently as a publisher with commercial responsibility for EG's media and events business. In his current role as Director of Market Development at EG, Damian aims to ensure EG'S strategy matches the priorities of the real estate sector, often working in partnership with businesses and individuals across the built environment. And, alongside a great team, Damian plays a part in ensuring EG is fully dedicated to inspiring positive change through our ESG, Technology, Wellbeing and D&I programmes. Damian has sat on LandAid's fundraising committee for over a decade and is now the Chair. Damian has always supported the charity's aims and is driven to raise money and awareness to help this sector address one of society's most damning problems. Outside of work Damian enjoys listening to music - both on vinyl and live - while my children enjoy my inability to make any sort of rhythmic movement while doing so.

David is President of the British Property Federation and a Trustee of the UKGBC. He joined Argent in 1990, was appointed Joint Chief Executive in 2006 and Managing Partner of the new Argent LLP in 2012 and became Senior Partner in 2019. He is now Chairman of the Argent Related Partnership. David recently won Estates Gazette's ‘Outstanding Contribution to Property Award 2019'. In May 2015, David was awarded NW Insider Property Personality of the Year, and in April 2014, David jointly won the Property Week Personality of the Year Award with Roger Madelin.

Ed Leggett

Ed is our Senior Events Officer and assists on the planning and delivery of LandAid's events calendar including the LandAid 10k and SleepOut. His role encompasses project managing our mass participation events, ensuring all logistical elements are covered, as well was assisting our fundraisers and supporters. Before his role at LandAid, Ed studied an MSc in International Events Management and alongside his studies, worked in a range of different roles at a variety of festivals and sporting events. He is particularly interested in sustainability within events.

Emily Jesshope

Emily is our Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager. She works closely with our network of corporate partners to nurture and develop mutually beneficial and impactful partnerships that support LandAid's mission to end youth homelessness. She is passionate about bringing together diverse but like-minded businesses to tackle a problem that they are uniquely placed to solve. Prior to joining LandAid, Emily worked in the international development sector. She spent eight years at Renewable World, responsible for driving growth in corporate partnerships, events and individual giving income. This included working with a range of different companies, tailoring their support and engagement to achieve the greatest possible impact for people living in poverty.

Erin McNee

Erin joined LandAid in July 2023 to support with our ever-growing calendar of events. A love for bringing communities together, and starting conversations about important issues, led Erin into the world of events and she was inspired to work for LandAid due to her passion for working with young people and their right to a safe space.

Gareth Pettit

Gareth manages our Pro Bono Programme, brokering free property expertise for charities and non-profits working with disadvantaged young people, families, and communities - including those experiencing homelessness. His role involves matching skilled property professionals from our amazing network of partner companies, with organisations in need of advice on their building projects to help them create greater social value and make a meaningful difference. As a fundraising and engagement professional with previous roles across private industry and in higher education, Gareth has a history of successful relationship building, partnership development, and establishing mutually beneficial networks with senior individuals and corporate organisations. Gemma Kataky

Gemma joined Blackstone in 2015 and is a Managing Director within the real estate team with responsibility for overseeing over GBP10bn of UK investments on behalf of the Blackstone real estate funds. She has spent the majority of her career in the private equity industry having started out as an associate at The Carlyle Group where she focused on real estate acquisition opportunities across Europe. As part of her role at Blackstone Gemma, sits on numerous boards with a residential focus, including Sage Housing, Leaf Living and iQ Student Accommodation. Gemma is keen to utilize her knowledge of the UK residential sector to support LandAid in its mission to help eliminate youth homelessness. Gemma has two young children and in her spare time is a keen pianist and violinist.

Gillian Bowen

Gillian Bowen JP, MBA, MA is the Chief Executive Officer at City YMCA, London. She has been in the youth field for over 20 years, has experience of working in the private sector and has held previous Chief Executive Officer positions in the Charity Sector. Gillian is currently leading the completion of a £20m housing development for homeless young people in London - the first of its kind to be built in the last two decades. Gillian is an Adult and Youth Court Magistrate for the Central London Bench and holds the position of Deputy Youth Panel Chair for the London region. She is also a very proud dual-national - of UK and Grenada!

Heather Sandover

Heather is our Grant Programmes Manager, working within our Programmes and Impact team. She is responsible for managing our Routes out of Homelessness grant programmes which funds projects for young people (16-25) experiencing or at risk of homelessness. Heather works closely with our charity partners across the UK to ensure that the money raised, and projects funded, create a direct impact and lasting social change. Heather has a strong background in EDI and brings to LandAid a values-led and inclusive approach, along with a range of programme and partnership experience in the Charity and Higher Education Sectors. Kt Banwell

Kt is our Programme and Impact Assistant, working within the Programmes and Impact team. She is responsible for supporting both LandAid's Grants Team and the Pro-Bono Programme. Kt has over a decade of employment in the charity sector, aiming to champion those more vulnerable, and advocating for those with less of a voice in society. This has included working with young people and adults of all demographics and additional needs. She has had direct experience of working with youth homelessness, through her work for Nightstop Devon, as well as working for other causes, such as the YMCA Downslink Group, The Grace Eyre Foundation and Worthing Mencap. Mark Colquhoun

Mark Colquhoun is a senior associate at BTO Solicitors in Edinburgh having joined in 2019, specialising in commercial property. At BTO, a traditionally Glasgow firm, Mark's role involves building the firm's Edinburgh real estate business and has a separate sectoral focus on Investment/Development. Melanie Leech

Melanie joined the British Property Federation as Chief Executive in January 2015, following nine years as Director General of the Food and Drink Federation. Melanie began her working life as a Police Constable in the Metropolitan Police Service. She joined the civil service (HM Customs) in 1988 and subsequently held senior roles in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Office of the Rail Regulator and the Cabinet Office. Her role is to champion UK real estate and to promote a long-term, sustainable partnership between governments and the sector to deliver a high quality built environment, and to create wealth. Melanie is a Fellow of the RSA. In 2015, she was awarded a CBE for services to the food and drink industry.

Michelle McLaughlin

With a background in planning and urban design, Michelle worked as a consultant with the built environment industry, before realising her ability to combine her technical expertise with her passion for creative communications. Prior to joining LandAid, she was a Business Development & Marketing Executive at Forsters LLP, supporting the wider Commercial Real Estate team. Mike Slade

Mike Slade is former Chairman of Helical, a UK-listed property development and investment company. Mike is married with three children. He is well known for his enthusiasm for yachting and launched the ‘Leopard', a 100-foot swing-keel ocean racer, in June 2007, in which he won the Rolex Fastnet Race. He is an enthusiastic supporter of the many sports enjoyed by his family, and is heavily involved in raising funds for charity. Mike is also a Fellow of the College of Estate Management, Chairman of the Wellington College Campaign, a trustee of both Purley Park and Sherborne School Foundation and Vice Admiral of the Marie Rose Trust.

Murray Strang

Murray is a dynamic, engaging and influential business leader with over 20 years of experience in global real estate, representing some of the world's largest and most respected property advisory firms. With vast experience as a Country Head, Regional Board Member and Director, Murray is a commercially minded, strategic and analytical leader. Neil Slater - Chairman

Neil has over 20 years' experience in the finance industry, working in London, Edinburgh, Zurich and Tokyo. A structured finance lawyer by background, Neil originally came to real estate from the hedge fund industry to focus on debt transactions and structuring. Following a 4.5 year period starting and running abrdn's Japanese business, he returned at the end of 2019 to run all of its Real Assets capabilities. For a while now, Neil has been really keen to give something back the society in which he lives. Given his view that real estate is entirely correlated to human behaviour - how we live, work, learn and consume - the industry collaboration, charitable focus and clear mission of LandAid immediately attracted him. Neil is married with two children. When not spending time with family, Neil is passionate about travel and different cultures, cooking, wine and keeping fit - the latter to ensure he can partake in some of the former hobbies!

Neil Wotherspoon

Neil's areas of expertise are development monitoring, technical due diligence (TDD) and dilapidations. He also has a keen interest in sustainability. He is a Partner, head of TFT's Edinburgh office and part of the firm's TDD and dilapidations working party. He is a member of the Scottish Property Federation Building Standards and Sustainability Committees. Neil's prominent clients include Nuveen, APG, Tishman Speyer, Aviva, Legal and General and M&G. Neil's principal instruction is the Project Monitoring of St James Quarter, Edinburgh, a mixed-use development in the heart of Edinburgh on behalf of the investors, APG and Nuveen. Neil's involvement started at the construction contract stage in October 2016. The leisure and retail element of the development completed in 2021, with the other elements (Hotel, Residential, Cinema and Aparthotel) due for completion by the end of 2023. Development costs are in the region of £1billion and comprise 850,000sq ft of retail, 214 room Hotel, Cinema, Aparthotel and 152 Residential Apartments.

Ronan Harris

Russell Munro

Russell is a Partner at law firm Pinsent Masons LLP and has over 27 years of experience in the Property Sector. He is based in Edinburgh has experience in a wide range of real estate work across the UK with a particular emphasis on property investment, development and finance. One of the projects he is most proud of is the project he leads at Winchburgh which is one of the biggest and most exciting place making projects anywhere in the UK. When complete it will deliver at least 3,800 new homes, improved transport links, employment opportunities, state-of-the-art schools and stunning new outdoor spaces. It will give a number or individuals and families a place they can live, work, play and relax and somewhere they are proud to call home. It is shocking that some individuals in our communities do not have a private, secure, decent and affordable place that they can call home. Seeing the benefits that have ensued from helping create a new community in Winchburgh sparked Russell's interest in and involvement with LandAid. He is delighted to lend his support and skills to help tackle youth homelessness in Scotland.

Sally Fraser

Supporting on and project managing several physical fundraising events each year as well as leading on our challenge events portfolio, her main responsibilities include testing and shaping the future of LandAid Events. One aspect of events that Sally particularly loves is their ability to serve as dynamic catalysts, igniting excitement and rallying support to raise crucial funds for extraordinary causes, propelling positive change forwards.

Sam Hassan

Sam is the Grants Programme Officer and is the first point of contact for our charity partners and plays a key role in the implementation of our grant programmes, towards our goal of creating 1,000 bedspaces for young people by 2024. Sam is also responsible for scrutinising applications, providing regular updates on the progress of grant funded building projects, and write up stories of how LandAid's support is making a difference. Prior to joining Landaid, Sam was an Advocate Lead at the Hackney Night Shelter for 4 ½ years, supporting adults move out of homelessness as well as setting up one of the first female only year-round shelters in London. Sam joined LandAid in 2022, to work with foundation partners and manage our newly launched Patron's Programme and Tech Networks. Scott Parsons

Scott is Chief Operating Officer UK for Unibail Rodamco Westfield and leads their UK business, including the two flagship destinations at Westfield London and Westfield Stratford, and major mixed-use developments in Croydon, Stratford and White City. Previously, Scott spent thirteen years at Land Securities plc, most recently as Managing Director of their £6.3 billion Retail business, and was a director of the plc board and the executive sponsor for their Diversity Campaign. Previous roles include three years as Managing Partner of Brookfield Asset Management, where he led their European business and more than 10 years at GE Capital Real Estate, latterly as Head of Business Development. Scott has served as a Strategic Board member of the New West End Company and as Vice President of the City Property Association. He is also on the Council and the Property Committee of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution, after retiring from active duty on the Thames Lifeboat Crew.

Shelbie Walker

Shelbie joined LandAid in 2023 to support on our National Development Programme. She hopes to strengthen and grow LandAid's regional impact across the UK, working with the Regional Boards and Ambassadors to champion our mission on a local level and support life-changing charity projects to help end youth homelessness. After graduating with an MA in Gender and International Development, Shelbie worked across the public, private and non-profit sectors, most notably at the University of Cambridge, on sustainability focused programmes and events, worldwide. She is particularly interested in equality, diversity and inclusion, and how intersectionality informs social and environmental impacts. Tom utilises multiple digital tools to build LandAid's profile and increase supporter engagement from both our corporate and individual partners. He creates content for the website and social channels as well as supporting the development of a wider content strategy tailored to LandAid's audiences and supporter network. By applying these skills, Tom can create an impact and support the LandAid mission to end youth homelessness. Before joining LandAid, Tom worked in both the property sector as a Town Planner and then moved into the charity sector working in comms roles for Dementia UK and Terrence Higgins Trust. Will Keenan

Will is responsible for growing and delivering a range of impactful strategic partnerships between the property industry and LandAid. He develops clear routes for our corporate partners to support LandAid funded projects in accordance with their social impact goals, ensuring that these partnerships are tangible, sustainable and mutually beneficial. Prior to joining LandAid, Will worked in the affordable housing sector with multiple Habitat for Humanity affiliates in the United States. There, he built relationships with diverse networks of stakeholders to support resident-led community revitalisation and provide avenues for meaningful engagement through fundraising, advocacy, and volunteerism. will.keenan@landaid.org
