Since joining Beaconplus, I have been a member of the energy team, I enjoy the ever changing challenge the energy sector presents me and take pride in making sure our clients are satisfied.
Since I joined the Beaconplus, I have been working in the energy section and now more recently I am part of the telecoms team.
Outside of work, I travel the length and breadth of the country to watch my favourite football team.
I started working at Beaconplus in 2009 and I am the manager of our telecommunications team. The telecoms market has continually grown and changed with new technologies, which has meant I have consistently been learning throughout my career. I enjoy the challenges of running a very busy team and keeping ahead of market changes, by regularly attending industry events.
I enjoy spending my spare time with my two children and playing/watching both football and cricket, as much as I can.
I founded Beaconplus in 1998 after eleven years with Accenture (formerly Andersen Consulting), where I specialised in developing and implementing cost saving strategies including outsourcing for major organisations. During my time with Accenture, I worked within the telecommunications & utilities sectors, the retail sector and Central Government, for clients such as British Telecom, Cable & Wireless, British Gas, Norweb, North West Water (now United Utilities), and the Department of Social Security (DSS). Prior to leaving Accenture, I worked on a major outsourcing project for the Sears Retail Group, which, at the time, included Selfridges, Miss Selfridge, Adams Children's Wear, British Shoe Corporation subsidiaries and Sears Property.
I hold an Msc in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark and a BCom from the Copenhagen Business School. I am an active sports person with a keen interest in running, rowing, football, badminton, windsurfing and most recently golf, which I find most challenging and frustrating.
After graduating from Keele University in Neuroscience, I now work in the ever expanding telecoms team and enjoy reviewing our clients' requirements and costs, and ensuring that they are on the most competitive arrangements at all times.
I have worked for Beaconplus since 1998. I have the role of Company Secretary and Office Manager, which covers a wide range of administrative responsibilities.
Outside of work, I am a keen fitness fanatic and have recently taken up golf.

As part of my University course in 2002, I did a 12 months' work placement at Beaconplus, which was an invaluable experience. I returned to the company after completing my Business Management and Entrepreneurship course at Staffordshire University, and I have worked in all of the different areas of the business since 2002. I enjoy working in such a dedicated and professional team, which has grown and developed over the years. I am very passionate about growing the business and providing excellent customer service to all clients.
I joined Beaconplus in 2001 after graduating from John Moores University (Liverpool), where I studied Accounting and Finance. I have worked in all of the areas of the business, and have seen first-hand how the industries and technologies have changed and how our clients can benefit from this.
Upon finishing college, I joined Beaconplus to work in their mobile phones and telecommunications departments. While at Beaconplus, I have achieved a Level 2 and Level 3 diploma in Business Administration. I enjoy working in such a busy working environment, and dealing with all aspects of our client's telecommunication and mobile phone accounts/queries.
In my spare time, I enjoy going to the gym and supporting my favourite football team.
I have worked at Beaconplus since 2016 and have completed both my Level 2 and 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship.
I currently work within the Energy section of the business and I am also on the report's team. I am responsible for making sure all the supplier invoices are accurate and correct, before we prepare our yearly reports and invoices. I also regularly interact with our clients to answer their questions and investigate any of their queries. Although it can be challenging at times, it's always fun to overcome all of the different problems that arise, plus it's a great feeling to gain positive feedback from clients. I have recently become part of the Water section as well, so I deal with all of our client's water queries and arrange water contracts.
Outside of work, I spend the majority of my time cooking and trying out all different kinds of recipes. Cooking is probably my favourite thing to do. However, I do like going out and seeing my friends at the weekend and I love going to different restaurants and trying new foods.
