The Company was started in 1950 by Jim and Avis Bridge in a small shop in Stockport. Jim Bridge responded to an advert in the Exchange & Mart of a company who were making a range of small Balsa Aircaft and were looking for a distributor. In his efforts to sell the range ,he began to get asked for other products associated with the Model Trade. Hence Javis began to progress... The company rapidly expanded from two storeys of the shop to purchasing all four floors. The premised served them well for a number of years until moving to a Mill in Stockport in 1973 taking two floors. They remained in these premises until 2005 when the company purchased a freehold single storey building in Reddish approx 3 miles from the old site.
