Since the beginning in 1977, Meridian has employed trainee producers and engineers and general managers. Over the years employees have learnt the craft and moved on to other companies filling various positions. The training they received at Meridian meant they could utilise their skills in the music business. Some leaving to set up as freelance producers and some even setting up their own labels... Your ears are important to us. They are your most sensitive organs, incapable of ‘listening away'. That's why, since 1977, we at Meridian Records have continued to believe that our listeners' ears deserve the very best in ‘natural sound' recording when it comes to the enjoyment of classical music... 47 years on we hold a clutch of industry awards, including the honour of being the first independent label to win a GRAMOPHONE award, and we continue to astound listeners and artists with our stylish and captivating recordings using our revered ‘natural sound' technique.
