As Chief Executive Officer, David's main role is to help MA in delivering its vision and supporting everyone in achieving their goals. Since completing his Master's in Business and Management, David has dedicated his career to recruitment and talent development, with most of this journey being with MA. Joining MA back in 2000 as a recruitment consultant, David's ambition quickly saw him go up the ranks, becoming Sales Director after just a few years. It was at this point that the recession hit. With MA facing a challenging cycle as a result, David proposed a revised strategy to the shareholders - to continue operating with vertical specialists, but adding a market-centric approach to provide recruitment specialists not only on the technology but on the business culture within each market location we operated within. It was this new strategy proposal that saw the shareholders make a restructure to the leadership team and appointed David as Managing Director (now CEO) to execute his strategy.

Louis Alexander

Louis Alexander had met John in IT and shared the same views so much so that he joined the business in February 1979 as a partner. John was leading sales and Louis was heading up support and operations. The Montreal Associates journey began.

MA In Amsterdam

Amsterdam is one of our most recent markets in Europe, with a vision to build a permanent base here one day along with our current offices, building an extensive talent network across the Benelux region. Yet, even though we may not have the number of years behind us compared to some of our other markets in Europe, our dedicated Benelux team has already seen exponential growth thanks to their hard work and dedication to building their market know-how. In the Netherlands, we've started an EMEA-wide collaboration with a well-known fashion brand to deliver tech talent within the main EMEA tech hubs.

MA In Barcelona

Barcelona is the home to our second office and has been so since 2017! Starting off in a small Regus space, we then made the move to the heart of Barcelona in the thriving square that is Plaça de Catalunya. In our Spanish hub, you'll find our teams for the Spanish and Italian market, as well as our Salesforce team who work across Northern Europe. Our teams have successfully built these markets up from scratch, and now we're able to find candidates great opportunities in high-growth startups, scale-ups and large tech companies. And for the last three years, we've been privileged to be working with the main up-and-coming tech start-ups within Fintech, AI and MarTech in Barcelona.

MA In Berlin

Across Germany, we are specialised in finding senior IT leadership positions across the countries main city hubs - including Berlin. And for the last 10 or so years, we've placed specialised consultants in SAP and Salesforce, as well as helping our clients to build permanent workforces within these areas. Our dedicated teams on the German market are based out of both of our offices and consist of native and multilingual consultants from across Europe.

MA In Lyon

With France being home to our largest network of tech consultants and long-serving clients, we've reflected that internally with the majority of our consultants dedicated to the French market and collectively covering every single technology we specialise in. After over two decades of creating long-term partnerships with clients both in Paris and across France, we now partner with more than 50% of CAC 40 companies. And thanks to the dedication our teams put into creating honest and open working relationships, we are proud to be still working with the top five consultancies in France after more than 10 years.

MA In Madrid

Having a permanent base in Spain since 2017, we have quickly grown to have dedicated teams for the Spanish market across several of our technology specialisms, including Salesforce, Infrastructure & Cloud and Development and ERP. Our teams have successfully built these networks up from scratch, and now we're able to find candidates great opportunities in high-growth startups, scale-ups and large tech companies. For the last three years in Madrid, we've successfully built several thriving partnerships with Microsoft Partners, becoming their preferred supplier for their staffing needs, and with a range of clients specifically within the Insurance and Banking industry.

Paris is one of MA's biggest market area, with France being home to our largest network of tech consultants and long-serving clients. And you can most certainly see the reflection when you take a look at our workforce and the consultants we have dedicated to work on every single technology we specialise in.
