Claire Warren

Claire joined us in 2003 in the role of senior team administrator. After gaining an honours degree in Economics, Claire's career in pensions started when she joined the SIPP department of an insurance company as an administrator in 1996. She was quickly promoted to senior administrator where she studied for her Financial Planning Certificate before being made SIPP team leader in 2001. Her experience of running a team of administrators, coupled with her leadership qualities, proved to be an asset when she joined us. In 2005 Claire was promoted to her current position of Head of Administration. Claire is now responsible for designating the roles of our staff and ensuring that the day-to-day administration of the IPM Personal Pension Scheme remains at the highest standard possible. She also boasts an excellent technical pensions knowledge. Aside from pensions, Claire's interests include reading, socialising, long walks and football where she actively supports Tottenham Hotspur FC.

Clare O'Callaghan


David Sutcliffe - Managing Director

David is co-owner of IPM. He was instrumental in forming the company and has over 30 years' experience in the pensions profession. Since achieving an MSc in Personnel Management from Aston University, David's career has seen him involved in all areas of pension planning including a period with a major UK life office as a regional sales manager. His involvement with self-administered pensions started in 1988 with a City based SSAS (Small-Self Administered Scheme) consultancy and latterly with SIPPs, which lead to the creation of the IPM in 1995. David's day-to-day involvement with the company is focused on ensuring the service offered by IPM evolves and continues to meet the needs of financial advisers and our members. When not in the office David typically can be found in the French Alps sharing his passion for skiing with his wife and two daughters, out running or on his bike.

Donna Butler

Ian Napier

Job Titles:

Ian took over his current role in June 2014. After graduating with a degree in Law in 1998, Ian joined an insurance company where he was employed as property administrator, quickly progressing through the ranks to become a purchaser. In 2003, Ian was recruited into our newly created property team. Since then Ian has been a key member of team, developing procedures and processes which form the basis of our commercial property offering. Ian has also taken on a compliance role since the SIPP industry's regulation by the FCA. Out of the office, Ian is a keen reader and an active sportsman listing tennis, running and football amongst the sports he participates in.

James Randall

James has been with us since early 2002, originally as a junior administrator and rising over the years to Associate Director. James has worked in all areas of SIPP administration during his time with us and developed the procedures for processing new business. In 2006, James moved over to the business development side of IPM, focusing on our relationships with financial advisers and clients. Aside from this, James' responsibilities also include the continual development of our website and online offering, IPM's marketing and the content we make available to our advisers as well as our company literature. James completed the Certificate in Financial Planning to learn more about the work carried out by financial advisers. When his young family are not keeping him on his toes, James enjoys keeping fit by competing in running events, triathlons and obstacle course races.

Jonathan Lochery - VP of Sales

Jonathan is a co-owner of IPM and was an original member of our team after we were founded in 1999. He studied Economics and Politics at the University of Leeds. After graduating in 1989 he started his career in pensions with several UK insurance companies providing technical sales solutions to the IFA market. In 1999 Jonathan joined Rea Brothers to promote their SIPP offering. This employment continued with IPM after the sale of the business where Jonathan was tasked solely with expanding the existing client base by developing relationships with financial advisers. Jonathan's pension technical knowledge has been fundamental in building IPM into the company it is today. He also continues to chair our investment committee. Outside of work Jonathan's two children take up the majority of his spare time. Although, when not following the turbulent fortunes of Oldham Athletic FC he is usually reading through Stuff magazine plotting which gadget to buy next.
