Alex Scott

A fourth-generation family business owner, leader and strategist, Alex was previously Chairman of Applerigg, a private, family-owned business built on the foundations of a financial services group established by his great-grandfather in 1903. He founded and grew the Applerigg group portfolio companies: Sandaire, an international multi-family investment office (recently purchased by Schroders); Yealand Administration, a fund administration company; and Horizons, a contemporary network and learning environment for the leaders of tomorrow. He is a Non-Executive Director of several private companies. As well as a Trustee of Grosvenor, Alex also chairs the Grosvenor Pension Plan and Grosvenor Food & AgTech. He is a Director of the Family Business Network International, co-founded and is Joint Life President of the Institute for Family Business (UK) and a is Director of the International Federation of Family Offices. He is a Trustee of the Francis C Scott Charitable Trust and the Cumbria Community Foundation. Alex graduated from Exeter College, Oxford with an MA in Philosophy, Politics & Economics and holds an MBA from IMD, Lausanne.

Andrew McInnes

Annabel Farbon

I am responsible for developing and implementing the 25-year-plan to deliver commercial and social benefit as well as to protect, enhance and restore the natural environment on the Eaton Estate, Cheshire. Annabel joined Grosvenor as Agent of Eaton & Halkyn Estates in April 2019, she is a resident agent based on the Estate Office just south of Chester. From 2007 until April 2019, Annabel was a partner in the chartered surveying firm, Bidwells, based in Cambridge, where she was responsible for both family-owned traditional landed estates and agricultural portfolios for institutional investors. After graduating Annabel joined the land management consultancy, Strutt & Parker, spending two years in East Sussex and, upon qualifying in 1997, moving to the ir Market Harborough office. As an Associate Partner with Strutt & Parker she managed rural estates and landholdings in the East Midland s, East Anglia and the South East.

Anthony James - CEO

Anthony joined Grosvenor Food & AgTech (formerly known as Wheatsheaf Group) from Grosvenor's property business, where he spent five years as Group Corporate Finance Director. Prior to Grosvenor, Anthony was Head of Energy & Natural Resources M&A at KPMG Corporate Finance where he led a wide range of acquisition, disposal and other strategic advisory assignments across the sector. His previous roles have included senior finance and corporate development positions at Philips Electronics, both in the Netherlands and China.

Ben Mardall

Ben joined the estate in April 2021. This new role was recognised as an essential development for the Reay Forest Estate to achieve many of the aims within its strategy. Ben has a strong background in rural tourism and having worked with several large estate s. He understands the importance of meeting the economic, social environmental challenges on a modern Highland estate. Previously, Ben worked at the Helix, Home the Kelpies, one of Scotland's most iconic tourist destinations. He has a strong background in deer management, through involvement with the Assoc iation of Deer Management Groups, Deer Management Qualifications and Nature Scot's ‘Deer Management Best Practice'. Ben studied countryside management at Barony College, Dumfries. During 2018 he attended the Scottish Enterprise/University of Edinburgh Business School - Developing Strategic Leadership. In 201 7 he completed the Scottish Enterprise ‘Rural Leadership Program'. Ben attended the ‘Resilience & Leadership' - Social Enterprise Academy in 20 12.

Chris Pratt

Christopher is an Independent Adviser to the Grosvenor Investment Committee. Prior to this, he was appointed as a Non-Executive Director to Grosvenor's Group Board in November 2014. He was Chairman of the Swire Group in Hong Kong from 2006 until his retirement in March 2014. Throughout a varied career he worked with the Swire Group in Hong Kong, China, Australia and Papua New Guinea where he was awarded a CBE in 2000. He also served as an Independent Non-Executive Director of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation and as a Non-Executive Director of Air China from 2006 to 2014. He is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Johnson Electric Ltd and a Senior Adviser to Morgan Stanley Asia Ltd.

Chris Taite

Chris has overall responsibility for Grosvenor's Diversified Property Investments business. He joined Grosvenor in 2002, and prior to his current role, Chris had responsibility for Grosvenor's co-investments in its global fund management company and also spent five years as the Fund Manager responsible for Grosvenor's Liverpool Fund. Chris worked for three property companies prior to Grosvenor (Taylor Woodrow, Lend Lease and TrizecHahn) as well as having undertaken specialist property research at Reading University with the Professors of Law and Valuation. Chris is a Non-Executive Director of a private family property company Apperley Properties Limited. Chris is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and the Investment Property Forum. Chris was educated the University of the West of England (BSc Hons Valuation and Estate Management) and has completed a number of IMD Senior Executive Programmes.

Christian Marroni

I am responsible for Grosvenor's communications function, including brand management and corporate affairs, helping to explain to our many and varied audiences the commercial, social and environmental benefit that our activities strive to deliver. As Group Communications and Corporate Affairs Director, Christian is responsible for Grosvenor's communications function which supports the organisation across a number of diverse sectors and activities. Christian joined Grosvenor in June 2016 from international law firm Linklaters, where he was Global Head of Corporate Communications. With 20+ years' experience in strategic communications, advising senior executives in private companies, partnerships and PLCs on complex and business critical issues and campaigns, Christian previously worked for international law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, accountant and business adviser Grant Thornton, and international PR consultancy Ketchum.

Dr Javed Khan

Dr Javed Khan OBE is a leading figure in the UK public and voluntary sectors, having developed a track record of successfully leading change through key high-profile leadership roles. In addition to his role as Non-Executive Director at Grosvenor Hart Homes, he is currently Chair for the Integrated Care Board for Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire, and Berkshire West (BOB). Alongside this he sits on several Boards as a Non-Executive Director and in 2022 published an Independent Review into tobacco control for the government. He is also Fellow of the University of Birmingham Leadership Institute. In his Executive career, Javed was Chief Executive of Barnardo's - the UK's largest national children's charity, and before that Victim Support. He has worked in the Civil Service, in local government (Director of Education), and spent 15 years in frontline education in schools and colleges. Javed's career achievements have been recognised in the award of an OBE for services to young people and education and Honorary Doctorates from the University of Salford and Birmingham City University.

As well as managing the finance function, Fiona has led several M&A transactions and represented Wheatsheaf at portfolio companies. Prior to joining Grosvenor Food & AgTech, Fiona held the position of Finance Director at The Chester Grosvenor Hotel. While at the hotel she gained extensive operational experience in both customer-facing and back of house roles.
