MILFORD CARE - Key Persons

Camelia Bran

Job Titles:
  • Registered Home Manager
I have worked in care for over 17 years, in various roles, working my way up to Registered Manager over the years. I believe it's important to lead by example and to play an effective role within the service making sure we provide a loving and caring environment for our residents. My work is my passion - it's more than a job, it's a way of life. I feel most privileged to be able to make a difference in people's everyday lives. Here at Hazelgrove, we want to create a "home from home" where residents, their families and staff live and work together in a family environment.

Job Titles:
  • Registered Home Manager
I didn't have the most traditional start to a career in care! I trained as an accountant in London, and after many years in the practice, I realised I wanted to give back to the community and pursued work in the social care sector. In 2014, I began my new career as a care assistant and immediately discovered a passion for providing care for the elderly. I was delighted to work in a role that genuinely made a difference to the lives of those needing support.

Job Titles:
  • Home Manager
Since leaving school at the age of 16 I have worked in adult social care, with both the elderly and those with learning disabilities. I started my career as a care assistant with Nottinghamshire County Council and worked my way up to a management position over a period of 15 years. During this time I completed my NVQ Level 4 in Care and Level 4 in Management and then went on to complete my Leadership and Management in Care Services Award. I left Nottinghamshire County Council after 22 years looking for a new venture, and joined the team at the Meadows as their Registered Manager in 2013.
