• Training at Southampton Sailing Club is regulated by the Royal yachting association ; we follow the following training programmes according to their syllabus... We actively support the SWSA (Southampton Water Sailing Association) and have several members who take part in many of the race events. We also present a club trophy to our members for best performance in the separate categories at our annual prize giving evening... We try to maintain a relaxed and informal approach to both the social and the sailing side of club activities we are also an RYA approved training centre offering both dinghy and powerboat level 2 training. Developing a fleet of dinghies for loan to members, these include Topper's, RS Quest dinghies a wayfarer and a GP14.If you are thinking of progressing from a dinghy to a cruiser, we also have a Foxcub cruiser available to borrow. It's a small boat simple to sail, and provides a good platform to explore owning your first boat before making a major investment.
