Bob Hickson

Bob first joined A.P. Webb Plant Hire in 1982 and has been at the forefront of the company's expansion ever since. His wealth of knowledge and expertise in most industries makes him a specialist in… well just about everything. However, if pushed for an answer, Bob's passion is Dozers and Tracked Loading shovels and this has been invaluable to recent training of new Operators. As if that weren't enough, Bob works in the POS Department and is a great envoy on site whilst acting as POS Representative and Mentor to new Operators. This affords Bob a high level of respect and he is a prominent voice of reason at the companies Performance Improvement Team meetings. Bob has completed his Assessors Award and is hoping to continue onto his Training qualification in the near future.

Jim Wright

Job Titles:
  • Plant Trainer
Jim is a qualified Plant Trainer, Assessor and Internal Verifier; formerly a CPCS Plant Instructor and CPCS Road Rail Plant Instructor. Originally from an agricultural background Jim has been involved with Plant and Machinery for most of his working life. Jim has operated Road Rail Machines since 1998 and joined the training department in 2006, Jim maintains his operational competence on all machines that he currently trains.

Natalie Turner

Natalie is the friendly and helpful training coordinator at A.P. Webb Plant Hire and she will be your first port of call in relation to your training and assessment needs. Robin Sherratt

Robin first joined the training team in January 2014, following a career at A.P. Webb Plant Hire that started in 2003 as one of the few remaining participants of A.P. Webb Plant Hire's recruitment drive, codenamed T1. Robin has a wealth of experience in the transport, construction and rail industries which has yet to show signs of slowing. Robin has recently been successful in achieving his HGV Category C and this has made him invaluable in the training of new additions to the A.P. Webb fleet. Robin regularly carries out duties as POS Representative and also on-site Mentor to newly trained Operators which gives Robin a prominent voice at the companies Performance Improvement Team meetings of which Robin is an avid member. Robin has completed his Assessors Award and is currently working towards his Level 4 in delivering learning.
