Beard and Fitch Ltd was established in Clerkenwell, London in 1851. Until 1914 the company manufactured clock gears, but the First World War changed the emphasis to heavier and industrial gearing... Beard and Fitch Ltd are gear manufacturers, specialising in the production of transmission components to suit customers' individual requirements... We are dynamic gear manufacturers and suppliers with many years of experience in manufacturing gears and other transmission products. Our heritage dates back to 1851. A proud moment in the company's history was the support given to Malcolm Campbell's Blue Bird in 1927 at Pendine Sands in Wales. It set the land speed record, travelling at 174.88 mph, and was fitted with transmission products manufactured by B&F.
