Andy has worked within the roofing industry for over 40 years, is a Director of Rowlands Roofing Ltd and has been an NFRC Board Member since 2018. Andy is a recognised Master Craftsman and previous winner of the IFD International Roof of the Year Award. He is Chair of the NFRC South Western Region Committee and is Deputy Chair of the NFRC Heritage Committee.

Colin has been on the NFRC Management Board since 2014. Colin is a chartered Building Surveyor being a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a Fellow of the Institute of Roofing. Colin has over 30 years industry experience. He is currently joint Managing Director of Archibald McCorquodale & Son Ltd in Glasgow. Colin is a past president of the Scottish Master Slaters and Roof Tilers Association and past chair of the NFRC Scottish Region.

Greg has worked within the roofing industry for over 31 years and is a Director of Treforest Tiling Ltd. He is past Chair of the NFRC South Western Region Committee, Member of NFRC Housing Thought Leadership Group and attends the NFRC Slating and Tiling Technical Committee. As a keen advocate of training and development, Greg has contributed to the CITB Focus Group for slating and tiling for qualifications in Wales and is an active committee member of WNRTG.

Jack has worked within the roofing industry for over 15 years and is a CEO of the M&J Group (Construction & Roofing) Limited and M&J Roofing Training Centre. He is the current Chair of the NFRC L&SC Committee and attends the flat roofing technical committee on behalf of the region. Jack has a range of qualifications, including a Quantity Surveying degree, plus charterships with the RICS and CIOB held and maintained.
James Talman was appointed Group CEO of NFRC in 2016. Since then, he's led a transformational change agenda, ensuring the trade association and its government-authorised competent persons scheme, NFRC CPS, remain at the forefront of the competency agenda. James sits on numerous government and industry advisory committees, including Build UK, the Joint Competency Committee, the Construction Leadership Council, and the Solar Taskforce. Internationally, James represents NFRC at the International Federation for the Roofing Trade, and he's built strong relationships with national bodies in China, Germany, the USA and Canada.

Josh has worked within the roofing industry for over 20 years. He set up J R Roofing Lancs Ltd back in 2015. Josh is current Chair of North Western Region committee and attends the slating and tiling committee on behalf of the region.

Karl has worked within the roofing industry since 1983. He completed his apprenticeship in 1986 at Chirquin Roofing Ltd in Wakefield. After a decade working for roofing companies in Wakefield and Leeds, Karl left the UK in 1997 to work within the roofing industry in New Zealand. During his time there he undertook all aspects of slating, tiling and felt roofing. After returning to the UK, Karl set up Austerfield Roofing in 1999 and 25 years later has 44 employees including one of his sons who started his apprenticeship in September 2024. Karl has served on the Yorkshire and North East Counties committee since 2017 and is the current Chair.
Kevin has over 40 years' experience in the roof refurbishment industry. Starting as an Estimator at Four Seasons Roofing in London in 1976, 19 years later he was National Operations Director responsible for 11 profit centres and a £15million turnover. Kevin formed BRC Roofing Ltd in 1994 and the company is now one of the highest profile roofing contractors in the UK with many awards and accreditations. In 1986 Kevin was the youngest person ever to be awarded a Fellowship of the Institute of Roofing. Kevin is past Regional Chairman of both the NFRC and the Institute of Roofing and has sat on the Midlands Regional Committee for over 35 years. Having become a Director of NFRC's Management Board in 2014, Kevin became Vice President of NFRC in 2016 and President in 2020.

Mark is a Director of Jarvis and Womack Ltd, and has been on the NFRC Management Board for over 20 years. Mark is a previous Chair of Yorkshire and North East Counties Region and a previous member of the NFRC Health and Safety Committee. Mark is also the Deputy Chair of the NFRC Slating and Tiling Technical Committee.

Michael has been involved in the roofing and cladding industry in various capacities since 1986. In 2007 he established Roofscape and in 2009 became a member of the NFRC. Michael is currently the Irish Region Regional Chairman, fellow of the Institute of Roofing and sits on the NFRC Sheeting and Cladding Committee.
Richard joined NFRC in 2019 to support the development of the RoofCERT accreditation programme. Since joining the association Richard has held positions responsible for qualifications, standards and compliance and is currently responsible for all operations within the trade body. A former flat roofing apprentice and from 'the tools', Richard continues his passion for the industry by leading the professional team in London and throughout the UK in supporting the roofing sector across a range of topics, including technical, safety, education and compliance. With a background in roofing, working in CITB and running his own business, Richard is well placed to add value to the UK roofing sector and sits on several external committees and working groups focused on competence, standards and compliance amongst other hot topics across the built environment.

Scott has worked in the roofing industry since starting his apprenticeship as a roof slater in 1984. Scott started Compass Roofing Ltd in 1989 and has grown the company since then joining NFRC as a member in 2007. Scott joined the Scottish regional committee in 2014. Scott is passionate in regard to training the next generation of roof slaters and to date has guided over 30 young men through their apprenticeship as roof slaters. He was elected Scottish Regional Chairman in February 2022. Scott delivers CPD training and is a regular at the Edinburgh Fringe Traditional Building Festival demonstrating roof slating on behalf of NFRC Scotland.

With a background of over 27 years in the NHS at both management and strategic level Sharon joined the roofing industry in 2010 to expand and develop her knowledge and experience focusing on training, governance and risk management. With a reported national skill shortage, Sharon is passionate about developing a young, skilled roofing workforce to support the needs of the industry. Sharon has been a member of the Midlands Committee for several years and chairs the Health and Safety committee. Sharon is commencing her fourth year as Chair of the CITB England Nation Council. She also chairs the Staffordshire Construction Training Group.
