Amber Tunney

Job Titles:
  • Consultant
In my role as a Consultant for the Midlands and North of England, I bring together my extensive experience in sales and administration and my recent BSc in Geography, in which I specialised in invasive plant species. I work with clients across the region, carrying out surveys, dealing with enquiries and ensuring we're always delivering the best possible customer service. When I'm not working, there's nothing I love more than hill climbing and hiking in the great outdoors - or volunteering with the Land Trust at a local country park to improve habitat and conservation.

Andy Gibbins

Job Titles:
  • Site Supervisor
I've worked in the invasive species sector for the best part of 18 years on and off. My background has always been within the horticultural industry. 8 years as tree surgeon to the former F.A. Head groundsman. Prior to this I was a professional golfer, yet these days the 19th hole seems to be the most rewarding one.

Ceri Davies

Job Titles:
  • Consultant Technical Lead
I worked for several years as an Associate for Environet before joining permanently in May 2020 as Area Operations Manager for the Midlands and South Wales region, and now as Consultant Technical Lead. Prior to that I worked for several years as a Green Keeper at two prestigious golf courses where I expanded my knowledge on lawn care and grounds maintenance, including dealing with weeds and invasive plants. This experience has meant I'm able to offer our clients a wealth of landscaping experience that perfectly complements our invasive plant treatment and removal work. In my spare time I love running and keeping fit, watching my daughter play football and hockey, and walking in the beautiful Malvern Hills with our two dogs.

Elise Hollinshead

Having moved to the UK from France following a French International Baccalaureate, I went on to graduate in Music Journalism and Broadcasting, which eventually led me to fall into marketing (making a long story short), which I quickly became passionate about. Joining Environet UK as a Marketing Manager, my role is to run the company's annual marketing plan and lead creative and strategic campaigns aligned with our business goals. In my spare time, I enjoy cooking, watching horror movies, going to music gigs and long walks with my dog at the weekend.

Emily Grant - COO

Job Titles:
  • Director of Operations
I moved to Devon nearly 20 years ago to study at the University of Plymouth and have never left! After completing a BSc in Environmental Sciences followed by a Master's in Sustainability, I worked in the construction sector for a number of years as an asbestos consultant before joining Environet in 2015. In my role as Director of Operations, I am responsible for all matters of governance and compliance within the business, including HR and H&S. I also spend a significant portion of my time in the Sales and Marketing Department, helping drive the business forward year on year, making Environet one of the largest and most successful invasive plant specialists in the UK. In my spare time I'm kept busy with a young family! I also love the great outdoors, cooking and spending time with friends.

Gavin Hayler

I started as an apprentice in soft landscaping and grounds maintenance gaining my NVQ level 2 in horticulture, RHS level 2 and my PA1-PA6 chemical spraying certificate. With over 18 years experience in soft landscaping I was ready for a change and joined environet as a Commercial Site Supervisor. Being part of a team helping not only our customers with there invasive weed problems, but also the landscape and environment really appealed to me.

Harry Newton

I found my feet in Marketing after numerous digital marketing roles, which saw me manage campaigns for real estate agents, confectionary businesses, car hire services, and even a 19 th century English pub!

Jason Harris

Job Titles:
  • Site Technical Lead
I worked for many years as a plant operator, responsible for operating mobile plant such as bulldozers, loading shovels and 360 excavators, during which time I gained an NVQ in plant operations. I joined Environet in 2017 and in my role as Site Technical Lead for the Midlands, North and North Wales, I work with commercial and residential clients helping them find the right solution to their invasive plant problems. In my spare time I'm usually busy spending time with my family, enjoying days out and walking my dog in the countryside. I also love watching football and am a dedicated supporter of Derby County, who I was lucky enough to play for when I was younger!

Joe Carter

Job Titles:

After working for several years for a market leader in artificial sports surfaces, where my clients included a number of Premier League football clubs, I was keen to find a new challenge that allowed me to work outdoors. I've always enjoyed dealing directly with customers and in my role as Site Supervisor for the North, removing and treating all types of invasive species on a daily basis, as well as liaising with clients and supporting with surveys where required. In my spare time I like to be outdoors as much as possible, hiking, cycling and playing football.

Judit Bator-Brown

I began my career in finance at an Accountancy Practice in Hungary before moving to the UK in 2004 and honing my skills over 12 years working in construction industry finance. Environet's progressive ethos and environmental credentials were a big draw and I joined the company at the start of 2022 as Financial Controller where I will be playing a key role in its future growth.

Katie Cumper

Job Titles:
  • Contracts Administrator
I joined Environet in Autumn 2023, having fulfilled a number of similar administrative roles in the past. At Environet, my role is to support the busy contracts department, ensuring that all of our site work is set up correctly and paperwork completed. My downtime consists of sewing (I have my own website), going to Disneyland Paris (I'm an annual pass holder), drawing, watching F1, going to concerts and spending time with my boyfriend and cats.

Luke Walton

Having graduated with an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Reading, I was recruited by Environet UK in 2014 to help with the eradication of Japanese knotweed and other invasive plants from residential and commercial properties. I am responsible for Operations across the UK, overseeing project management and training of our site-based staff. I also spend a good deal of time on consultancy and business development across the South East.

Mat Day - CTO

Having graduated with a BSc (Hons) from the University of Chester in Geography and Natural Hazard Management, I was recruited by Environet UK in 2013 to remove Japanese knotweed and other invasive plants from residential properties and commercial sites. From day one I've loved the challenge of the job and I'm now responsible for the Sales and Finance departments at Environet. I also spend a great deal of time working as an Expert Witness in Japanese knotweed, often handling complex misrepresentation, negligence and encroachment cases.

Nathan Folland

Following a 25-year career in the construction sector working on large commercial and civil engineering projects, I spent eight years focusing on contaminated ground clearance, particularly oil spill remediation. I'm passionate about the environment and in my role as Site Supervisor I oversee the treatment and removal of Japanese knotweed, bamboo and all kinds of invasive plants causing problems for homeowners and businesses. When I'm not working, I enjoy mountain biking and surfing at the many beautiful beaches in the South West.

Richard Slade

Having gained over 16 years' of experience providing the highest level of customer service at prestigious department stores, I joined Environet in 2017 seeking a new challenge. I'm often the first port of call for customers when they contact us and I aim to make their experience as professional, efficient and pleasant as possible.

Sam Moss

I've spent the last twelve years working in the golf course industry, including golf course construction, maintenance and project management. Working with the Contracts team at Environet, my role is to ensure the smooth running of all our jobs, liaising with customers, booking machinery and equipment and ensuring our team have everything they need to complete the task thoroughly and efficiently. I recently became a dad for the first time, so there's not a huge amount of space for leisure and recreation at the moment - but there's always time for a dog walk with the baby in town!

Samir Shanji

Following a Geography degree from Queen Mary University of London, I was keen to pursue a career in the environmental sector and began working for a firm making packing from natural and sustainable resources such as bamboo. In my role as a Consultant for Environet, working across London and the South East, I'm responsible for checking properties for invasive plants, assessing the risks and making treatment and removal recommendations to clients. I also work closely with the operations team to see projects successfully through to completion. I'm interested in horology and in my spare time I enjoy helping my family business source and restore vintage watches.

Zoe Slade

I spent nine years working as an Event Manager at a Surrey golf club, which gave me a wealth of experience in sales and customer service while growing my knowledge of marketing and administration. I joined Environet in 2016 in the role of Executive Assistant and am proud to be a part of the vital work we do, helping customers during what can be a stressful and worrying time.
