Aidan joined Saxton Bampfylde in January 2015 with 16 years experience in Executive Search. He most recently spent eight years as a Partner in the London office of a global executive search firm. Aidan has particular experience in advising organisations on management change in times of transition and has worked on a wide range of leadership and executive mandates for Financial Services, Public Sector and Corporate clients across established EMEA business centres and in emerging markets.
Aidan was the Global Chair of Panorama, the global community of 24 leading executive search firms, of which Saxton Bampfylde is a founding member. He is a former Global Chair and Executive Committee member of the Association of Executive Search Consultants which represents over 75% of the leading search firms and over 7000 consultants across EMEA, APAC and the Americas and remains a Director on its Global Board. As a firm advocate of research led executive search, Aidan previously led the Research division of Armstrong International, before becoming a Partner of the firm and its Chief Operating Officer.
A graduate of University College Dublin, Aidan earned his Master's degree in Politics from St. Antony's College at Oxford University and undertook further Executive Education at Harvard Business School.

Anna joined Saxton Bampfylde in 2016 and is currently our People Assistant. Since joining the firm she has worked as a Project Coordinator across a variety of sectors in search as well as being Team Leader for the Project Coordination Team. After attaining the CIPD Level 5 qualification she then joined the People Team.
Prior to joining the company Anna worked as an Executive Assistant for a number of years and has a degree in Management and French from the University of Nottingham.
Cassandra is a Business Psychologist who takes an evidenced-based approach to her work and describes Business Psychology as ‘helping individuals and organisations to get the best out of each other, to reach their potential and to perform highly while maintaining wellbeing'. Before joining Saxton Bampfylde in 2018 she was a consultant in Business Psychology and Human Resources, working with a range of corporate clients and NGOs for recruitment, talent identification and leadership development. Cassandra has helped clients to identify the competencies required in roles, assess candidates and explore their strengths, weaknesses and fit to the role and company. She has also helped to identify internal talent, identify areas for development and develop leaders. Previously Cassandra has held research roles at the University of Oxford and Local Council Education Departments and management positions in charities and within the NHS. She has a BSc (Hons) from the University of Bath, an MSc from Birkbeck, University of London.
Charlotte works in the consulting team and plays a key role in our Schools Practice. She works extensively with multi-academy trusts on CEO, Director-level and Board appointments, as well as across the wider education ecosystem with independent schools, special schools, alternative provision, education groups and charities in the UK and globally.
Recently, Charlotte has worked with AET, Laidlaw Schools Trust, REAch2 and Astrea Academy Trust on their CEO appointments. Before joining our Schools Practice, Charlotte worked as Chief of Staff to Stephen Bampfylde, leading on cross-sector CEO and Board searches. Prior to being a Consultant, Charlotte was Head of our 30-strong Research Team and has worked in Vancouver on secondment to our partner office.
Charlotte has a first-class honours from the University of Bristol in French and Politics. Charlotte is a mentor with OnBoard, an organisation that supports and encourages diverse talent on non-executive boards. She is also a volunteer telephone befriender with Age UK.
Cheryl is Head of Marketing at Saxton Bampfylde where she has oversight and responsibility for all of the firm's marcomms functions, including social media, website management, event coordination, branding and communications. She works closely with our partners to produce thought leadership insights, including our widely-read publications CANVAS and Board Talk which feature interviews with board-level leaders. In addition to her role at Saxton Bampfylde, Cheryl provides marketing support for our global partnership, Panorama, where she works to bring a global perspective of leadership to all of our communities and helps coordinate our annual global conferences.
Prior to joining Saxton Bampfylde in 2009, Cheryl studied Visual Communications and has worked in marketing functions across a diverse range of commercial organisations, including global publishing, property management and law.
Clio joined Saxton Bampfylde as a Project Coordinator in May 2022 and has worked with organisations across the Finance Sectors, Schools and Higher Education Institutions. She provides administrative support, coordination and management of the logistics to ensure a smooth execution of each project.
Before joining Saxton Bampfylde, Clio worked in the Higher Education Industry. She has a BA in Media and Cultural Studies from the University of Kent.
Connie is a Consultant in our Social Impact practice. Since joining in 2014, she has worked on more than 200 board and executive level appointments, largely for not-for-profit, arts and culture and education institutions. She is passionate about appointing outstanding leaders into organisations that have a positive impact where it's needed most in our society, and is experienced in supporting multiple appointments at board and executive level.
As the firm's former Head of Research, she believes in the power of rigorous research to support organisations to increase the strength and diversity of their boards and leadership teams. Connie read Italian at UCL and spent a year studying at Università per Stranieri di Siena.
Dave joined Saxton Bampfylde as a Management Accountant in 2023 and supports our Finance Director, Andy King, in assessing the financial performance of the firm to guide the Board strategically and financially. Prior to joining the firm, Dave worked in public practice as a Tax Accountant in Australia. Dave graduated from the University of Melbourne with a BCom in Accounting & Finance, and is also a Chartered Accountant (Australia & New Zealand).
David is one of the firm's senior consultants, and has successfully led and completed well over 200 Chair, CEO, COO, CFO and functional searches since joining the firm in 2012. He works across the commercial, public and not-for-profit sectors, and has a particular specialism in education. This includes working with universities, Oxbridge colleges and leading schools, for which he has, amongst other roles, appointed over 60 finance directors and bursars. David founded our CFO practice and since then has led on over 100 searches within the space, successfully placing CFOs and other senior finance professionals for leading commercial and not-for-profit organisations.
Before joining Saxton Bampfylde David was CFO of three organisations: the Financial Times Publishing Group, Rocco Forte Hotels and Kaplan Europe. He was also a non executive director of Colliers CRE plc. He read Law at UCL, has an MBA from the University of Chicago and is a chartered accountant. David is one of the founders of a school in Kenya, which supports students from the marginalised northern parts of the country, bordering Sudan, Ethiopia and Somalia.

Ed has worked in executive search since 2005, leads our arts and culture practice and chairs the international Panorama arts & culture practice group. He has worked on the majority of our senior executive and non-executive appointments across the arts, culture and heritage sectors both in the UK and internationally. This work has included the appointment of the leaders of some of the world's most exciting and impactful museums, galleries, theatres, festivals, performing arts, visual arts and education organisations. Ed sits on the advisory council of the Polka Theatre, one of the UK's leading children's theatres. He has a BA in Sociology from the University of Leeds and an MA from University College London.
Ed joined Saxton Bampfylde's Board as a Non-executive Director in 2021. Ed is currently Chair of Assura PLC, the leading Primary Care property REIT, Chair of Birmingham Health Partners, Chair of the HCA Healthcare (UK) Advisory Board as well as advising a number of early stages Healthtech companies.
He is the former Pro Chancellor and Chair of Council at the University of Birmingham and has spent many years in various oversight roles for Higher Education including Deputy Chair of HEFCE, Chair of Student Loans Company and Chair of British Universities and Colleges Sport
He has also been Chair of NHS Improvement and Deputy Chair of NHS England, the Senior Independent Director at HS2 Ltd, Non-executive Director of The Euston Partnership Board, Chair of WWF-UK, Chair of Caterham School, Chair of Crown Commercial Services, Lead Non-executive Director at Department for Transport, Treasurer and Council Member at Chatham House and a member of the Competition Commission and the CMA.
Prior to his portfolio of roles, Ed spent 30 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers in many senior UK and International roles. He is also a mentor to next generation leaders and a strong advocate for, and practitioner of, diversity and inclusion.
