Arti is proficient in using a variety of appliances including the Invisalign® clear aligner system for both adults and teens, removable appliances, metal or clear ceramic brackets and aesthetic wires and lingual braces. Arti is also adept with the therapeutic management of snorers and those with sleep apnoea using mandibular advancement devices, orthognathic surgery (jaw surgery) and combined simple and complex multidisciplinary orthodontic-restorative cases.
Arti is dedicated to achieving perfection for her patients and strives to make them feel safe. She feels it is important that the patient understands and enjoys the orthodontic journey with her.
Bhavin qualified from St Bartholomews and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry, University of London in 2006. He graduated with Distinctions in every part of the BDS undergraduate course attaining Honours and being the Proxime accessit to the University of London Gold Medal.
After completing Vocational Training he obtained a Senior House Officer post in Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery at Bart's Health Trust Hospitals. During these rotations, he performed complex surgical dentistry under local and general anaesthesia in elective and accident and emergency situations. Bhavin also gained a Speciality Doctor position in Oral & Maxillo-Facial Surgery which he did part-time when going back into general practice where he operated and supervised junior members of the team at Whipps Cross Hospital.
Bhavin furthered his training as a Senior House Officer in Restorative Dentistry at The Royal London Dental Hospital. This post furthered his experience and skill in Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy), Prosthodontics (crown, bridges and dentures), Periodontology (gum treatment ), Oral Medicine and Emergency dental care including trauma. During this rotation, he also provided treatment under inhalation and IV sedation for special needs and dental phobic patients.
During his hospital-based positions, Bhavin achieved the prestigious Diploma for Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties of The Royal College of Surgeons of England and went on to be a lecturer for the examination. Since then he has continued his professional development providing general dental care at practices across Essex and also became an honorary clinical lecturer at the Royal London Dental Hospital. He joined our team 7 years ago and became a partner in 2017. Bhavin's interest is in Cosmetic and General Dentistry as well as surgical and Implant therapy. He has now also been awarded the prestigous Diplomate in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh.
Dr Shanil Patel graduated with an undergraduate masters from the University of Leeds. During his undergraduate training he had a strong passion for the field of endodontics and immediately began to pursue the competitive career as soon as he left university. He has worked in multiple practices doing a mixture of NHS and private dentistry and enhanced his surgical skills and medical knowledge during his maxillofacial training year at Wythenshawe Hospital.
Shanil has won various dental awards such as the Endodontic Harty Prize, the undergraduate Oral Surgery Award and the Northwest Dental Core Training Poster Prize. He was also a finalist for the Northwest Dental Foundation Training Restorative Case Prize. He has completed his MFDS qualification to become a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
In 2019 Shanil was offered a place on the highly competitive DDSc Endodontics Programme in Liverpool. He has since passed the Membership in Endodontics specialty examinations and his Doctorate is centred around the restoration of rootfilled teeth.
When teeth become infected, usually through tooth decay or trauma, Shanil can provide root canal treatment to prevent the need for extracting the teeth. His advanced training allows him to manage cases such as molar teeth, re-treatments, curved root canals, post removal, crown removal, resorption, trauma, and abscesses. He performs treatment using state-of-the-art equipment such as a dental microscope. But his main priority has always been to treat patients in their best interests. His main skills lie in his ability to communicate and empathise with patients. We are really happy to now offer his unique speciality service here and accept referrals for his care.
Outside of dentistry, Shanil is a sports fanatic. He mainly loves to play and watch football, but also plays golf and cricket, and regularly attends the gym. He loves to socialise with his friends and travel.
Charlotte qualified with an RSCEng Dual Diploma in Dental Hygiene and Therapy from the Eastman Dental Hospital UCL in London, 2017.
On completion of the course, she was awarded the Communication Prize, given to the student who most embodied the ideal traits of a caring and gentle dental practitioner, recognising her commitment to patient care.
Prior to becoming a dental hygienist, Charlotte was a qualified dental nurse for four years, completing a course in Oral Health Education, and Radiography also.
Charlotte made the change to dentistry after completing a degree in History of Art from Goldsmiths, University of London and still enjoys drawing and painting, visiting museums and galleries.
Iwona is our patient liaison. As well as being a qualified Dental Nurse she has a Diploma in Hospitality Management from University of Warsaw . She has worked in hospitality for much of her career, most recently as a Senior Reservations Coordinator for the private members club ‘The Arts Club London'. During the pandemic, she realised that she enjoyed healthcare so much she wanted to change career. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the team, as well as a calm, gentle, caring, and motivational nature. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family, travelling and hiking.
Marcia qualified from The Superior Health Institute of Alto Ave, Portugal in 2011.
Marcia is originally from Brazil, where she took her first steps into dentistry 20 years ago. She has a deep knowledge of the dental profession clinical & administration after working in several sectors of dental practices back in Brazil and especially in the UK.
Marcia takes pride in being both thorough & gentle with therapy provided by her, as well as putting nervous patients at ease throughout their hygiene experience, believing that good communication is essential at all times.
She also enjoys spending time with her patients, encouraging and motivating them to improve and achieve better oral health at home.

Michaela qualified as a dental nurse in 2008 and gained experience assisting at chairside in many aspects of dental care. She started with 53 in 2010 and is now the lead clinical nurse.
Michaela became a member of SAAD (Society of Advancement of Dental Sedation) in 2012 and has been assisting Sam with his conscious sedation patients with her calm, confident approach since then.
Whether she is looking after nervous patients, helping with general treatments, implant treatments or assisting our consultant orthodontist, Michaela's skills and experience are appreciated and valued by our team and patients.

Talie qualified as a Dental Hygienist and Dental Therapist from St Bartholomews and The Royal London School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2011.
Since graduating Talie has gained experience working in private dental practice and the hospital dental service.
