I started building Adirondack chairs because I wanted some for my own garden and nobody in the UK made them the way I wanted. Then my neighbours and friends saw them and wanted some for themselves. And thus Adirondack Outdoors came into being... The whole thing started in the garage at home and grew from there. I have now built many thousands of chairs and other items of outdoor furniture. Things are a bit different from the way they were in the garage. But I still try and build every piece as though it was going to a friends garden...
