ALGE

Established in 1994 the Association of Local Government Ecologists (ALGE) is the only organisation supporting professional officers with responsibility for, and an interest in, biodiversity and nature conservation in Local Authorities and National Parks. ALGE also provides formal advice to the Local Government Associations in the UK and responds to consultations on biodiversity issues that affect local government delivery... The Association of Local Government Ecologists represents professional ecologists working in local government in the UK. In partnership with others, ALGE supports and develops the nature conservation work of local authorities.
