Alex joined us in 2012 as a student nurse and we are proud to say that she passed her nurse exams whilst working here at Bruceview. She enjoys working in our laboratory and takes pride in attending to the needs of our patients during their time with us. She has a special interest in exotic animals particularly the small furry patients; she is currently working on an extra qualification in this subject.
Alex is kept busy at home with her two rabbits, Roo and Hufflepuff and Golden Retriever dog, Beau.

Christine is the Practice Manager, runs the practice and is the longest serving member of our team, having started in 1989 - her love of coffee has kept her going, that and her love of the job!
At home she loves spending time with her 2 children, Lewis and Katie, and her cats, Amelie and Dani.

Dawn is one of our Clinical Directors. She qualified from Glasgow in 2009, joining Bruceview in 2014. She previously worked in small animal practices in Ireland, Australia and elsewhere in Scotland. She enjoys all aspects of general practice, especially surgery.

Fiona joined Bruceview some years ago (but she's not telling when). Initially, she was our head nurse and is now our office administrator. Her experience as head nurse is invaluable in understanding all the paperwork! You'll also find her at busy times at reception, again using her considerable experience to help clients.
At home she loves spending time with her children, Finn and Logan and her 3 guinea pigs, Clover, Dora and Nora.
Irene qualified from Glasgow in 1989 and came to work at Bruceview in June 1996 after working in mixed practice for 7 years. There are no aspects of small animal practice that Irene doesn't like but she, in particular, enjoys soft tissue surgery and geriatrics. In her position as Senior Vet she thrives in developing the skills of her more junior colleagues and is also our official Clinical Coach. Irene's passion for her job drives us all.
Away from work she enjoys being a mum and looking after her two cats, Cookie and Yoshi.

Jackie is our Cleaner, keeping the practice spick and span. She is a great dog lover and enjoys the simple pleasure of long dog walks in the countryside.

Jenny came to vet nursing later in life than most having spent 10 years studying Biology at university, culminating in the successful completion of a PhD in wild bird behaviour and genetics. Ultimately though, a keen desire to work directly with animals and a passion for animal health & welfare led Jenny to nursing, and she hasn't looked back. Jenny trained to be a vet nurse with North Highland College and officially qualified as an RVN in June 2021, shortly after joining the Bruceview team in May. Fascinated by imaging Jenny can often be found in Bruceview's imaging suite, assisting the vets and other nurses with x-rays and ultrasound scans.
Outside of work Jenny loves to explore the hills, on foot or on horseback, and as a dedicated bibliophile loves browsing second-hand bookshops for her next book.

Jodie qualified as a registered veterinary nurse in 2020. She enjoys helping with consultations and with the care of our inpatients.
Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her two dogs Ozzy & Diesel and horses Sally & Nancy.

Karen joined Bruceview in January 2011 after being a client with us since 2001. She enjoyed her visits with her pets so much she wanted to come and work with us!
When she's not working she volunteers for Cats Whiskers, a local cat rescue charity, or she's at home spending time with her British Blue Shorthair cat, Flora. Her superior film knowledge keeps us educated and entertained, as do her jokes.

Lorna joined us in March 2014 and is now our Head Nurse. Lorna enjoys all aspects of nursing, especially surgery. She also carries out our weight clinics to get those overweight pets slim again. She also arranges our puppy parties - look out for your invite soon! Lorna has a keen interest in pet behaviour and is currently training to achieve a certificate in this.
When not at work she keeps busy walking and playing with her bulldogs, Jeff, Ellie and Betty. She also likes card making and photography.

Louise joined Bruceview in August 2018 after graduating from Glasgow Vet School. She brings smiles, warmth and enthusiasm. She has developed an interest in emergency care and surgical cases.
In her spare time she enjoys hill walking, playing the piano and is kept busy with her Cocker Spaniel, Mara.

Lynsey has been with Bruceview since 2001. Lynsey has extensive experience in patient and client care and she is held in very high regard by her colleagues, especially as she is the point of contact at the clinic for clients who are sadly going through pet bereavement. Apart from our Practice Manager there is no one else with her range and length of experience. Despite having had many roles and jobs in the clinic, according to her, her best job is puppy cuddling!
When at home she is kept busy with her family and her big softie of a Rottweiler, Rudi.

Rory is one of our Clinical Directors. He qualified from Glasgow in 1994, joining Bruceview in 1998. He particularly enjoys dentistry, holds a post graduate certificate (PgC) and is an Advanced Practitioner in the subject. He also enjoys challenging medical cases such as internal medicine, dermatology and ophthalmology.
Away from work he enjoys motorcycle race-track riding and skiing but those come a distant second to time spent walking his dog, Ling, in the woods. Don't tell anyone, but Border Collies are his favourites.
