CAMP MOHAWK

Our vision is for children and young people with special needs arising from physical or developmental disability to receive the support necessary to realise their full potential as valued individuals, with their disability being openly understood, accepted and provided for without prejudice or judgement... We provide the children and young people with stimulating workshops, sensory and social activities that are led by experienced enthusiastic staff and carefully designed to address the common developmental requirements of children with special needs... We also provide their families with some short term respite, a support network and friendly advice. Both our centre and approach works sympathetically with the challenging behaviour that often accompanies disability in young people. We provide this support for families in all school holidays except Christmas, plus some evenings and weekends, and also liaise locally with special needs schools and support groups.
