Jonathan Biggs of J. Collins and Son is the fourth generation in the trade, having taken over the furniture side of the business from his parents, John and Pamela, in January 2005. He now specialises in 17th-19th century items of treen and wooden bygones. His great grandfather had a shop in Harrow, in 1912, however it was his grandfather who established the business in Bideford in 1953 located in the High Street till December 2004. In September 2008 the new gallery of fine furniture (now displaying treen and wooden bygones) was opened in Charles Avenue, Bideford, which has ample parking outside and is open from 9-30am till 5-00pm Tuesday to Saturday (closed lunchtime 1-00pm to 2-00pm)...
