I played a lot of sport and developed knee and lower back pain with cricket and rugby respectively. On both occasions I was helped by an osteopath who's enthusiasm for his work was infectious. I decided at that point to see if I could pursue osteopathy as a career... I studied psychotherapy in the early 90's which helped further my understanding of mind-body interactions and my current academic interests are in exploring how research in the areas of neuroscience, trauma and pain education can inform my practise.
