Role: Director of Communications at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED); she advised the overall ESPA programme on communications matters. Her interests include research communications and policy influence, strategic marketing communications, communication and marketing strategy, writing for policy, working with the media, research communication monitoring and evaluation. Liz has also been a member of Mid Term Review panels for DFID-funded research programme consortia and a member of an ESRC funding assessment panel.
Role: Supported programme-wide academic synthesis activities and a process of over-arching synthesis culminating in a book chapter and a journal paper, taking the lead on responsive demand-led synthesis activities, and supporting the general legacy-building activities of the ESPA Programme. He was based at the University of Edinburgh, Research into Results Limited.
