Dr Ubhoo graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2019 with Honours and Distinction in Clinical Dentistry. During her final year, Alisha was awarded the British Society of Endodontics Pitt-Ford Prize, presented to the undergraduate student with the best portfolio in endodontics.
Alisha takes pride in all aspects of patient care and is dedicated to providing a tailored dental experience for her patients. She strives to provide quality general dentistry in a calming and pain-free environment. Her ethos is that all patients should have the confidence to feel and look their best with regards to their smile.
Alisha has a keen interest in post-graduate development; she is due to embark on further Restorative training and will soon become an Invisalign provider.
Outside of dentistry, Alisha is an avid gym goer and enjoys experiencing cuisines from around the world.
Dr Tandon is, at 42 years of age, the founding partner at Edgbaston Dental Centre, a high quality Cosmetic and General Dental Practice located in central Birmingham. From this well known Centre he has been helping thousands of dental patients from all walks of life, and also has many internationally renowned music stars, actors and athletes amongst his clientele.
Dr Tandon studied at Kings College Dental School, University of London, before graduating at the Royal College of Surgeons (London) in 1989. Since then he has worked diligently as an Associate Dental Surgeon in Birmingham (1989-1994), during which he established the 'West Midlands Emergency Dental Service'. From 1994, Dr Tandon devoted himself to the emergency needs of the West Midlands community in the continued provision of the Emergency Service that he had set up. Many other Dental Practices relied on his support and so he is therefore very well known and regarded in the affluent dental circles of the region.
In 1997 Dr Tandon founded Edgbaston Dental Centre. Between then and now he has worked hard to assemble a team of over twenty highly skilled and experienced staff members. Dr Tandon himself continues to provide cosmetic and general dental maintenance at the Surgery. He has a special interest in the treatment of very nervous patients. Over the last 17 years he has successfully been able to treat thousands of such patients by way of Intra-Venous Sedation; a totally pain-free, safe and easy technique. Other Dentists continue to rely on the service he provides. Dr Tandon also is extremely proficient in the provision of Dental Implants, having completed an intensive year long training course.
Dr Tandon continues to strive for excellence in every sphere of Dentistry and remains committed to Continued Professional Development by way of regular Dental Conferences and courses that enable him to keep informed of the latest technological advances of his profession.

Passionate, dedicated, and extremely personable, our Award Winning Principal Dentist, Dr Anoup Nandra makes the quest for a beautiful smile both successful and fun. His love for people is matched only by his energy and enthusiasm for dentistry. Dr Nandra relishes opportunity and challenge, and he will work with unparalleled commitment to help each patient achieve his or her dental goals.
After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, Dr Nandra was invited to work in London and spent his formative years completing his training and gaining valuable experience in cosmetic dentistry and dental implantology. Having worked in both London and Birmingham, Dr Nandra is now the principal of the Rock House Dental Practice in leafy Tettenhall, along with the Edgbaston Dental Centre in central Birmingham.
Dr Nandra maintains the care of patients from many different areas. He is proud to include as his patients international sport stars along with many television celebrities.
Anoup was a finalist in the 2011 "Smile Awards", and was very proud to be the winner of "Midlands Best Young Dentist" in the 2012 Dentistry Awards. His practice was again shortlisted for "Best Practice" in 2013.
In 2014, Anoup was also included in the Private Dentistry list of UK Elite 20 dentists, featuring at number 16 in the line-up. The list includes the top dentist in the UK and nationwide, and Anoup feels honoured and privileged to be included in such prestigious company! Also in 2014, Anoup was awarded the award for "Principal of the Month" by the dental website "Compare my Smile".
Dr Nandra is privileged to work with many master technicians and ceramists. Their collaboration over the years has produced a genuine friendship and a passion for cosmetics that is evident and unique in each and every case. Together they have partnered over the years and have created thousands of new smiles for our patients.
Dr Nandra is an active participant in the dental community. He is a member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the Association of Dental Implantology, the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry and the British Society of Restorative Dentistry. He is also involved in many west midlands study clubs and dental organisations.
Deeply committed to continuing education, Dr Nandra constantly enhances his knowledge by participating in courses throughout the world. He has achieved a distinction in the prestigious Diploma in implants Dentistry at the world famous "Eastman Dental Hospital, along with a Masters in implants Dentistry from the University of Central Lancashire. His training in cosmetic dentistry is mainly from the USA where Dr Nandra was an active member of "The American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry".
Dr Nandra has been awarded both the "Membership of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners" and the "Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties" qualifications from the Royal College of Surgeons (MFGDP RCS & MJDF RCS). He is currently working towards one of the highest qualifications in general practice, the "Fellowship" from the faculty of general dental practitioners. His active role in continuing his studies has kept him abreast of the latest advances in the dental field.
Aside from his own education, Dr Nandra enjoys teaching others having taught undergraduate dental students at the University of Birmingham for a number of years. Since 2007, Anoup has been approved as a "Vocational Trainer". This prestigious appointment requires him to help train and mentor newly qualified dentists from his practice. He is also approved as a mentor for the Association of Dental Implantology (ADI) allowing him to help and tutor dentists requesting advice and support in the field of dental implantology, and for the Society for the Advancement of Anaesthesia in Dentistry (SAAD).
Dr Nandra has lectured both in the UK and internationally in the subjects of dental business management, facial aesthetics and dental implantology; and now provides training courses and mentoring in the fields of dental implantology, facial aesthetics, and dental sedation from his practice.
Outside of dentistry, Dr Nandra enjoys spending time with his family and friends. He is a keen cricketer and plays for a local team at the weekends. Currently he is doing his best to improve his golf handicap. Anoup is also a long-suffering supporter of Worcestershire CC and Aston Villa FC.
Dinesha graduated from the University of Birmingham after graduating with a degree in Human Biology, where she then went on to study Dentistry at the University of Sheffield where she was the President of the Sheffield University Dental Students Society leading the society participating in a prominent role to encourage student activities and leading in the societies progression.
Dinesha completed her vocational training in Oldham, during this time Dinesha played an active role in assisting with the development of the Vocational Training programme within the Pennine Scheme.
Dinesha is truly devoted to her profession and has demonstrated this by providing a high level of care towards her patients and has an interest in general dentistry but enjoys treating nervous patients and ensuring their dental needs are addressed alongside providing a calm environment thought all patient interactions. Dinesha is an Invisalign Go provider where she is able to provide short term orthodontics for patients.
Outside of Dentistry Dinesha enjoys travelling, trying different cuisines and spending time with family.
Dr Nijran joined the team at Edgbaston Dental Centre shortly after graduating from the University of Sheffield.
Esha is extremely dedicated and passionate about dentistry. She strives to provide meticulous care for all her patients using current and up-to-date techniques whilst aiming to put her patients' at ease throughout all consultations.
Esha has a keen interest in postgraduate development, in particular, restorative dentistry and oral surgery. Dr Nijran carried out a clinical audit with her peers which was then published in the British Dental Journal. The article was entitled 'The Record and Delivery of Caries Prevention for Children in a Primary Care Setting: A Multi-Practice Collaborative Clinical Audit.'
Outside of dentistry Esha enjoys spending time with family and friends. She is a frequent swimmer and enjoys cycling in the summer months.
Dr. Kam Panesar joined the team in 2007. She graduated from University of Birmingham's School of Dentistry. She is a passionate dentist and is truly devoted to her profession. Her achievements speak volumes and these attributes allow her to provide the best care to all her patients.
Dr. Panesar is a committed healthcare professional and has continued with her education throughout her dental career, starting with the Membership of Joint Dental Faculties, which was awarded by the Royal College of Surgeons. Dr. Panesar shows a special interest in Restorative Dentistry, completing her Diploma from Manchester University, again, with the Royal College of Surgeons. She is now reaching the end of her Masters in Clinical (Restorative) Dentistry at Leeds University.
Aside from general dentistry, Dr. Panesar has a keen interest in Endodontics and Short Term Orthodontics. She provides treatments using systems such as Fast braces. She is also a member of the Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia in Dentistry, allowing her to provide intravenous sedation for those nervous patients that are eligible.
Continuing with dental education, Dr. Panesar has been assigned as a Joint Foundation Dentist Trainer for the last two years which involves mentoring those new graduates who have just completed their dental degree. This shows that she is not only committed to her patients, but also enthuses to encourage younger dentists, at the start of their career.
The above attributes, including some of the charity dental health screenings, she has been involved in, contributed to Dr. Panesar being shortlisted for the Best Young Dentist Award - Midlands, in 2013.

Kieran graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2015 with Honours where he was the President of the Dental Students' Society, taking a lead role in education and activities at the Dental School. Kieran was also the recipient of the University of Sheffield Chancellor's Medal for recognition of his outstanding contribution to the School of Clinical Dentistry, to the University of Sheffield and to the wider community of Sheffield in promoting widening participation, supporting others towards a career in Dentistry and raising awareness of mouth cancer. Kieran joins a prestigious list of previous winners including Jessica Ennis-Hill who received the medal in 2008.
Kieran is an enthusiastic member of our dental team and keen in postgraduate development and learning. Kieran completed his MJDF (Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties) Diploma Qualification in November 2015 and also completed his Diploma in Restorative Dentistry (Royal College of Surgeons) in June 2019. Kieran has a special interest in medical-law; he has completed a Masters in Medical Law at Cardiff University and also has achieved a Diploma in Legal Medicine.
Continuing with dental education, Kieran has been assigned as a Joint Foundation Dentist Trainer which involves mentoring those new graduates who have just completed their dental degree. This shows that he is not only committed to his patients, but also enthuses to encourage younger dentists, at the start of their career.
Kieran enjoys building a good rapport with all his patients putting their needs at the forefront of every consultation. Kieran's interests lie in restorative dentistry, orthodontics where he is an Invisalign Go provider and also in acute dental care and trauma.
Dr. Gupta graduated from Spain with Bachelor of dental surgery. Before leaving Spain, he spent his summer in outreach clinics in Valencia caring for patients in the wider community providing a high level of patient care.
He has recently joined us at EDC having completing his vocational training in Staffordshire; where he has treated a diverse range of patients helping to improve his patient care and communication skills. Naman is dedicated in providing quality treatment to his patients and has a keen interest in postgraduate qualifications to improve his skill set
Having completed a dissertation in implantology, he has a keen interest in surgery and looks to specialise in implant placement and restoration in the future. Naman believes every smile is important and will soon become an invisalign provider to help improve patients' smiles.
Priya qualified as a dentist from Kings College London. After completing her foundation training she worked in the maxillofacial department in hospital to gain further knowledge and skills. She has also completed post- graduate exams including MJDF/MFDS.
Priya is a hardworking, friendly and approachable dentist, she endeavours to make every patient feel comfortable and at ease. Priya's focus is providing patients with all treatment options so that they are able to make an informed decision. Patient care is at the top of her priority.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with friends and family and travelling.
Dr Saqib Siddiqui is passionate about orthodontics. He enjoys the intricate nature of the specialty and the satisfaction of bringing about a gradual transformation in his patients' smiles by moving teeth to their optimal position. He does this by using one of the different types of braces he is trained in, but principally by employing the technique that is best suited for the individual patient. For him, the highlight of Orthodontics is sharing the satisfaction at the end of the treatment when his patients are sporting their beautifully straight teeth and new smiles.
Saqib qualified as a dental surgeon in 1995 from the University of Liverpool Dental School. He then attended the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and joined the British Army as a Dental Officer. He spent a number of years providing general dentistry to our troops in both peacetime and military deployments. His experience took him to various locations in the UK and overseas.
In 2002, Dr Siddiqui was prestigiously selected by the army for specialist training to become on the military's Orthodontists. He specialized at Birmingham Dental Hospital, where he obtained his specialist orthodontic qualification (M Orth) and a Master's degree (M Phil) in Orthodontics. Following qualification in 2005, he provided specialists orthodontic care to our troops and their families. He was involved in lecturing and presenting at courses and conferences and also involved in providing clinical care to complex cases requiring input from more than one dental speciality.
In 2012, Dr Siddiqui left the army after 18 years of service and now spends his time in both NHS and private orthodontic practice in Worcester and here at EDC.
In his spare time, Saqib enjoys running, football, skiing and cycling. He enjoys his time most when spending it with his family or following his football team, Liverpool FC.
Dr Siddiqui enjoys being the specialist orthodontist at EDC, offering his patients the various orthodontic techniques he is trained in so that they can achieve the smile they desire.
Dr Sreedevi Nair graduated with Bachelor of Dental Surgery from Government Dental College, University of Kerala (India) in 2011. She was awarded the prize for the best outgoing student in the department of Conservative dentistry and Endodontics. She completed her House Surgeoncy in the same University and gained wide exposure to various aspects of general dentistry. During this time, she actively involved in organising a significant number of rural dental camps and worked as pain and palliative care volunteer at Regional Cancer Centre Kerala, India. She is passionate, conscientious and caring dentist who relentlessly strive to refine her skills so as to provide the best service to the patients.
Before moving to the UK, she worked as a private dentist in India developing her skill sets especially in Endodontics.
In 2013, she gained registration to the General Dental Council (GDC), UK after completing overseas registration exam (ORE). Further to this, by working in private and NHS primary dental care, she developed a keen interest in Oral Surgery and Endodontics.
Dr Nair is enthusiastic in further professional development and is currently working towards completion of MJDF qualification. She is able to converse in multiple languages.
Outside of dentistry, she enjoys spending time with family. She is a trained singer and is passionate about music.
