Amanda Draper

Job Titles:
  • General Assistant
Amanda ensures the hygiene and food safety standards are maintained to a high level in the Innovation and Manufacturing hub. She supports Food Technologists and assists food businesses who are utilising the food processing facilities. Amanda was self-employed in catering and the food sector for 20 years and been at Food Centre Wales for 13 years.

Angela Sawyer

Job Titles:
  • Centre Manager
Angela joined the team in 2002 and is the Senior Food Technologist here at Food Centre Wales. With considerable industry experience in a wide range of food and drink processes, she is able to implement and audit food safety management systems in businesses of all sizes. Angela is also a highly experienced trainer, qualified to deliver training and knowledge transfer activities related to food safety, NPD, practical skills and food technology. With experience in meat, dairy, confectionary and bakery, Angela is really perfectly placed to be able to support all businesses with their technical needs.

Annwen Gale

Job Titles:
  • Centre Co - Ordinator
Annwen Gale joined the team in September 2017 as a Centre Coordinator. Her role is to provide administrative and co-ordination assistance for each department at the Centre. Annwen has worked in the hospitality industry for over 20 years in a range of different venues within the private and public sector.

Catherine Cooper

Job Titles:
  • Training Officer
Catherine joined the team in January 2019 as the new training Officer here at Food Centre Wales. She will be organising, creating and delivering training on various aspects of the principles and practises of Food Safety, and is happy to help arrange other training based on individual company requirements. Catherine brings 20 years of industry experience with her, with extensive production experience and a specialism in Food Safety Management Systems and allergen management. Catherine also helps co-ordinate the delivery of funded projects, and you can expect to see her involved in many areas of client relationship management for both funded and commercial clients accessing our services.

Ceris Moyle

Job Titles:
  • Food Technician
Ceris Moyle joined the technical team as a food technician. Her main responsibilities include quality management systems and documentation systems. Ceris has had extensive experience since starting in the food industry in 2002 within the manufacturing and retail sectors. She graduated with a degree in Business IT in 2014.

Gerallt Morris

Job Titles:
  • Food Technologist
Gerallt Morris joined the team as a Food Technologist in 2015. Gerallt has a Degree in Chemistry and has several industrial based qualifications, he has worked in the Food Industry for over 10 years. Gerallt Specialises in Quality Systems, Quality Control, Process Efficiency and has helped several companies from the NPD stage to getting a product on the shelf.

Mark Jones

Job Titles:
  • Food Technologist
Mark Jones is a Food technologist specialising in Dairy, quality systems and process development. Mark has a degree in Food science and technology along with a number of industry based qualifications, including a Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management. He joined the team in 2015 and has 17 years' experience in Dairy industry on a variety of different size businesses, winning numerous awards.

Natalie Fulstow

Job Titles:
  • Business Development Officer
Natalie Fulstow is responsible for marketing, event management and liaising with start-up businesses and prospective clients to enable the centre to develop. After graduating with a first class degree in Business & Design Technology, Natalie has over 25 years' experience in Business Development and Marketing across a range of sectors throughout Wales, including 16 years running her own award winning business. She joined Food Centre Wales as Business Development Officer in 2017.

Rhian Jones

Job Titles:
  • Food Technologist
Rhian is a Food Technologist with over 11 years experience working across many sectors of the food industry. Since joining Food Centre Wales in 2005 she has cultivated a special interest in NPD, meat and ready to eat technology working with clients to bring new products to the market place. In addition she has expanded her portfolio to become an accredited Food Safety Trainer for courses delivered by Food Centre Wales.
