FRANCIS & BUCK - Key Persons
Alex joined Francis and Buck in 2002. Alex is responsible for the day to day running of our accounts department but his main responsibility is ensuring that our clients' property transactions are completed efficiently within the timescale permitted.
Catrin graduated from UCW (University College Wales, Cardiff) with a degree in Law in 1980. Catrin qualified as a solicitor in 1983 and was one of the founding partners of Francis and Buck in 1995. Catrin was previously a Partner with Eversheds Cardiff. Catrin is the Managing Partner of the firm and has handled and supervised tens of thousands of residential conveyancing transactions both locally in Cardiff and all over Wales & England; with a substantial client base in London and the Home Counties. Catrin takes pride in being professional, approachable and most importantly proactive. Catrin is also a fluent Welsh speaker.
Chanelle joined the firm in April 2015. Chanelle is responsible for supporting the fee earners, opening files, submitting searches, providing quotations and liaising with clients. Chanelle is currently working towards her CLC qualification.
With 20 years' experience in residential conveyancing Geraldine joined Francis and Buck in 2021 and handles sales and purchases. Geraldine has good communication skills and is very proactive.
Hannah graduated with a degree in Law from The University of West of England in 2014. After working in a residential high street law firm for 7 years whilst completing the Legal Practice Course in Cardiff University and qualifying as a Solicitor in 2019, Hannah joined Francis and Buck in 2022. Hannah deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing but specialises in guiding First Time Buyers through the daunting process of buying their first home.
Jessica graduated with a degree in Law from Cardiff University in 2012. She joined Francis and Buck after qualifying as a solicitor in September 2016 and, after a brief stint with another law firm, Jessica returned to the firm in September 2018 and has already dealt with over 200 matters. Jessica deals with all aspects of residential conveyancing but specialises in new build plot purchases. Jessica is also a fluent Welsh speaker.
With over 25 years' experience in various departments of the legal profession Julie has been specialising in residential conveyancing for the last 20 years. Julie joined Francis and Buck in 2010 and has since handled over a thousand sales and purchases. Julie is proactive and has great communication skills which she utilises to resolve any issues which arise during the course of a conveyancing transaction as swiftly as possible.
Laura completed her legal secretary qualifications in 2002 and has worked in a legal environment since that time joining Francis and Buck in 2012. Laura enjoys all aspect of residential Conveyancing and with her experience undertakes a number of duties within the firm working closely with other members of the team ensuring an efficient support service to all our Clients.
After graduating from UWIC in 1999 with a BA Hons in Tourism Management Nicola joined the firm in 2002 to help implement our Case Management system and is in charge of IT. As well as this Nicola is often the first point of contact for clients as she provides quotes, takes instructions and sets up new files.
