Andrew Prince

Job Titles:
  • BVMBVS MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon
Andrew qualified from the university of Nottingham and joined Garth straight out of university as a Veterinary Intern in October 2019. Andrew has a keen interest in herd health management and disease control but is looking forward to learning all aspects of pig production during his internship. Outside of work Andrew enjoys clay pigeon shooting, reading and cycling.

Ciara O'Neill

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Surgeon
Ciara qualified from Dublin in 2011 and moved to the UK shortly afterwards to work in a specialist pig practice in the south-west. While in practice, she completed a certificate in intensive livestock health and production, and subsequently moved on to a veterinary consultant role within the pharaceutical industry. Ciara works across the multitude of production types and stages, but with a keen interest in gilt management, and is also especially focussed on PRDC and its impact on productivity. Outside of work Ciara swims, cycles and occasionally runs.

Dawid Karpiesiuk

Job Titles:
  • Veterinary Surgeon
Dawid qualified as a veterinary surgeon from the University of Warmia in Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland in 2017. After graduation he worked in a pig practice in Poland for 5 years. Dawid brings a wealth of experience and knowledge with him having workied with many different types of pig farms. His main areas of interests are herd health management and farm bioseucirty.

Gemma Thwaites

Job Titles:
  • Veterinarian
Gemma joined Garth in 2007 to specialise in pig medicine after working in mixed practice. She is studying for her certificate in pig medicine. Gemma is involved in advisory work, and all aspects of investigations on farm. She is particularly interested in improving health on farm and disease eradication programmes.

Guy Wade West

Job Titles:
  • Veterinarian
Guy joined the business in 1998 focusing entirely on pig production and has a certificate in pig medicine. His interests include performance analysis and monitoring, outdoor systems and disease eradication programmes.

John Hayden

Job Titles:
  • Veterinarian
John runs INTEGRA VETERINARY SERVICES in East Anglia and has a wealth of experience of both indoor and outdoor pig production. He is heavily involved in the implementation of preventative medicine programmes on farms.

Paul Thompson

Toby Allcock

Job Titles:

Toby graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London in the summer of 2020 and joined Garth immediately after. He is involved in all aspects of the pig veterinary service and has a particular interest in infectious disease control.
